- These are the best headphones that I had. I had the following headphones:- Meze 99 Classics- SENNHEISER HD 660 S- SIVGA Oriole Rosewood Wooden Closed Back Wired Dynamic Headphone (Brown)- JVC HASW01 Wood Series Hi-Res- HIFIMAN SUNDARA Hi-Fi Headphone with 3.5mm Connectors, Planar Magnetic, Comfortable Fit with Updated Earpads-Black, 2020 Version- Audio-Technica ATH-M50XGM Professional Monitor Headphones- Sony MDR7506 Professional Large Diaphragm Headphone- beyerdynamic DT 700 PRO X Closed-Back Studio Headphones with Stellar.45 Driver- beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro- Apple AirPods Max- Apple AirPods ProIt was essential for me to find good closed headphones. I like listening to music and sound quality is very important to me.Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro are the most enjoyable headphones among the closed headphones mentioned above and they have the best sound quality. I can listen to them for hours.Other advantages of Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro:- they are very comfy- noise isolation is very good- wide sound stageApple AirPods Max and Apple AirPods Pro are good wireless headphones for iPhones and they have balanced sound. I use them on the go.SENNHEISER HD 660 S is a good pair of open headphones and enjoyable too. However, they are open and I still enjoy Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro more.JVC HASW01 are surprisingly good but they cost more and don\'t have so wide an audio stage.Meze 99 Classics impressed me with strong bass and overall good sound. However, I experience fatigue after listening to them for more than half an hour.My search is over. Try Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro, I think you will enjoy them. Also, they are available with discounts now. I bought them for less than $400.
- build and metal finishes are top notch, and headphone is comfortable. The optional \"Pleather\" pads were 3-4MM smaller in diameter than the microfiber pads and are very difficult to install. These pads increased the bass quite a bit, but I preferred sonic balance with the stock pads. The overall sound was warm with very punchy and extended bass, with a slightly \"cupped\" midrange and recessed lower treble. There is a noticeable peak on consonants, but the treble is not harsh. These headphones do not sound neutral to my ears, but they are well suited to FPS gaming.
- Absolutely amazing quality. I can truly hear parts of music that I never heard before, even with very high end home theater speakers. I was on the fence about upgrading my headphones. I had a pair of Astro A40 Trs. I tried these, the legendary Sennhieser A660s, and a $500 pair of hifimans. These were by and far the absolute best sounding, including in the bass range. They are also phenomenal for gaming. I can hear everything perfectly, especially with dolby atmos headphones/my soundblaster GC7. The only thing they needed was an EQ drop at 8k by about 3-5dB, otherwise the treble sounds like nails of a chalkboard.HOWEVER. Be careful who the seller is who you are buying from. I got my first pair and returned them for quality issues. The second pair I got are perfect, but I noticed that my second pair had a sticker on them that said Beyerdynamic authorized dealer. I have a suspicion that the first pair I got were counterfeit. I\'d suggest looking for the sticker on yours and/or checking that the seller is an authorized vendor in advance.
- I own a wide collection of phones from $700 to $1700. Most are open back and I wanted a really good, basic pair of closed back. I purchased these based on the good reviews and their sensitivity rating. I use dedicated amplification and multiple sources. These phones do not disappoint with their impressive materials and construction. They fit my fairly large head well without excessive pressure points. Very comfortable. They present a black, quiet background. Bass is excellent but not bloated. Soundstage is wide and instrument location is clear. Solo piano and string instruments sound amazing. I\'m very pleased and enjoy the ambient sound suppression. All my dedicated amps have cross-feed and I hardly ever listen without it engaged. This is a very worthy consideration even for those that may own more expensive phones. They are a great value and wonderful addition to my collection.
