Some background first. I\'m an IT specialist and a long time user of Samsung smartphones. Over a course of years, I\'ve accumulated a lot of home and car chargers--mostly genuine Samsung, but some high quality third party products. This is my first battery pack purchase. I normally skip reading instructions, but I looked at these since the product\'s packaging had no seal and I wanted to determine if I was shortchanged. I read some reviews before purchase and noted some confusion from those posting questions. One response was rather rude. I\'m accustomed to dealing with newbies/novices, so I thought I\'d help because the instructions were pitiful. Aside from the battery pack itself (4 inches high, 3 inches wide), there was a single cable 8.5 inches from tip to tip. On the top side of the pack, there\'s a power button, 4 small LEDs, the same micro connector you\'ll find on your Samsung phone and the same type of USB connector you\'d find on a PC. If I didn\'t already own a home charger (genuine Samsung \"fast charger\"), then this pack is useless because you charge it via an electrical outlet. You\'re supposed to charge it before use and it took about 3 hours per the 4 LEDs on top. It should be made clear in the product description that you must already own this required other accessory. Again.. stressing this for the novices. Regarding the aforementioned short, flimsy, included cable: it\'s fine to supply a hit of power for most situations, but not mine. On long driving trips I\'m taxing the phone to the max (Google navigation, continuous music, etc.) and my cigarette lighter introduces interference into my audio system. The battery pack allows for an alternate source, but I\'ll be using a longer, sturdier, third party cable so I can place the pack at the most convenient location in the car. I only have one car charger, but two vehicles. I\'ll now be leaving the car charger in the business car and assigning the battery pack to the weekend car.
Usage:I have owned MANY battery Packs and this is by far the best yet. First off, it allows Fast Charging which is a huge benefit for the Samsung Galaxy S series phones. I use it with my Galaxy S7 Active and my wife\'s Galxy S6 Active.Device Charging:The battery charge level indicator is available with a quick button press so you can see how much juice is remaining. Charging device time is equivalent to the Samsung Adaptive Fast Charge adapter that comes with your phones.Battery Recharge:Recharging the battery pack, especially with the Samsung Adaptive Fast Charge adapter, is much quicker than I\'ve seen from at least 4 alternative packs and this is the largest capacity external battery I\'ve owned to date!Battery Size:Though it\'s large in capacity, it will still fit inside a pocket for charging on the go, and the included Micro-USB cable is also nice for charging while carrying as it\'s only about 8\" rather than carrying a standard size cable.Summary:If you are a Galaxy owner or have devices with quick charge capability, you need this!
I bought this 713 days ago. I use it mostly to charge my Samsung galaxy S6 Active and a Bluetooth speaker. I use it a lot on golf trips. It does exactly what you would expect. I have played 54+ hole in a single day streaming music from my phone to my speaker and this battery pack has kept both devices going without interruption. (Roughly 14 hours of operation) I would say I would buy this device again but that seems like a waste of money since I already own it and it dominates event he longest day on the golf course charging 2 devices. I suppose at this point if it did fail I would buy another. However, it shows no signs of failing 2 years in. (technically 16 days short of 2 years.)
I like that it has fast charging for Samsung phones. My galaxy s10 plus has a 4100 mah battery. I made sure the power bank was at 100% then I let my phone go down to 5% and charged it back up to 100% then again let it drain to 5% and it charged up to 83% before the power bank finally died. So I got one full charge and a second partially full charge. Not bad but for the size and heft I wish I could have gotten at least two full charges. But it is what it is still a great quick power bank.
Once I got this thing in the mail and took it out of the package, man this thing is hefty and big for folks with tiny hands but perfect for folks with bigger hands.Takes about an hour to fully charge the device when connected to a Samsung fast charger plug. As for charging my Galaxy S7, it\'s as fast as a fast charger plug which was really impressive! I was able to get 4 full charges out of this guys before it needed to be recharged.It also fits in my pants pocket with the phone on top of it as well. The only complaint that I have with this is the laughably short included cable but works if you just have the phone and the charger in your pocket.
already have had two of these, just got another one for my hubby who loves it to recharge his cell phone when needed.
I bought two of these for me and my wife when we go to Disneyland. Make sure you have time to charge them before you need to use them. And they do not come with a charger, but just use the charger for your phone. Once charged they work great. They are a bit heavy, but they are fast chargers and I was able to recharge my phone 2 times while out and about at Disneyland without even worrying about running out of juice. Definitely a good buy and a good price. Also, I was able to recharge my phone and the Battery at the same time overnight, I just plugged my phone into the battery and used my phone charger to charge the battery at the same time.
