- I didn\'t see a model number listed in this ad, the ones I received were model # MDR-RF985RKC.I\'ve been using these for a couple weeks now and I love them. I needed headphones so I could watch television while others in the house were sleeping. If I had the television volume up loud enough that I could hear the quiet dialogue then the louder action parts were too loud. When I first hooked these up I noticed I had a little static but only when I would recline on the sofa. If I sat up a little they were clear. I had sat the transmitter on an end table next to a metal wire dog crate. I moved the transmitter about two feet higher and the reception is fine now, no problems. I guess the dog crate was acting like a Faraday Cage?I found the volume to be plenty loud enough for me. I originally had the volume on the headphones all the way up and then would adjust the sound level using the TV\'s remote. (On my TV, when I plug in the headphone\'s transmitter to the TV\'s headphone jack it mutes the TV\'s speakers but the volume control on the TV\'s remote adjusts the output to the headphone jack). I thought the headphones sounded a little distorted during the louder parts so I tried turning the volume on the TV a little higher and then turned down the volume on the headphones. That sounded better to me so that\'s how I leave it now.The transmitter is also the charging stand, there is a red light on the headphones to indicate when they are charging. I haven\'t had any complaint with battery life, used them for a couple days without recharging. I haven\'t run them until they were dead so I can\'t comment if they make the claimed 25 hour life.I have a large head (8 7/8 hat size, any hat that says \"one size fits most\" will be too small for me). I found these to be a little loose, enough that if you move your head quickly they will slide around. Not a big deal since I normally sit fairly still while watching TV. I could see where someone with a smaller head would find them loose. The ear cups have a soft pad and I find them comfortable even when watching a couple movies in a row.
- These are for my husband. They work great! The only negative is that if the headphones are turned on before re-starting a movie or tv show, you have to turn them off and then turn them on again to be able to hear anything. The one big positive is that once they are on his head properly, I can barely hear the tv, which is great especially if I am trying to read or work. The other Sony headphones, an older model, does not muffle the sound and he has the volume at the highest setting.
- very low volume, had to send it back, refund was prompt with no problems. Other wireless sets work with that TV I may have been the problem with how it was set up. I think this is probably a good product in general.
- If not near the transmitter the reception is intermittently broken up by gaps and static. Works OK if I stay in one place near the transmitter but moving around the room causes it to have problems. Very sensitive to position of head while moving within the room the unit is in. Semi OK but the signal breakup is annoying.
- I bought a pair back in 2016 and love them. I bought a different pair for my husband but now I can\'t find recharge batteries for it. So I just purchased a pair for him. The Sony headphones have a internal battery so they stay charged longer and you don\'t have to find replacement batteries for it. The sound is outstanding. I have to keep the headphone volume down low because they are loud. Love them though.
- The sound is great. I hear minor sounds in the movie or TV shows that I don\'t hear without them. It\'s actually taking some adjustment to those sounds, thinking they aren\'t on the TV but in the house. Taking off the headphones to realize the sounds were not in the house. Haven\'t tried music but believe they would be great with music also.
- Use these ALL the time - do like them alot - I give 4 stars because there is occasional interference
- It took us ordering 3 different headphones to get this right. But these are the right fit, they sound great and the best part NO static none. That was what was wrong with both the other pair we bought the interference was so bad.If you\'re looking for a great set of wireless headphones for TV watching these are it.
