- From the feel of the leather case to the comfort of the earbuds in my ears, I adore these earbuds. They sit comfortably in my ears like emerald gems, even for long periods of time and will move from noice cancelling to transparent mode with a tap on my left earbud. Call quality is clear and music sounds fantastic, and I can remain on the line with my husband for hours with no issues with call sound. He noted that they do seem to cancel out noise in my background, as when I express regrets about the noisy environment, he does not understand what I am referring to. This is a huge bonus, since I do run two businesses and often have children in tow or make and take calls in an environment with some background noise. Further, the noice cancellation feature is fantastic when I want to focus and think and strategize or problem solve. At times, I leave them in as ear plugs for this reason and when toggle to change availability to let my reception staff know that I am available for calls, I move to seamlessly taking and making calls hands free. I realize that the low ends/bass is not \"the same\" as my Bose Soundsport, and not \"the same\" as my husband\'s highest end Sony in ear phones, but the \"difference\" honestly does not bother me in the least. If I want to use my Bose Soundsport, I will. If I wanted Sony, I would have bought them, but I wanted these for the design and performance both. My husband also just purchased Bowers and Wilkins newest wireless in ear phones and I am surely able to try them and compare and contrast, since those clearly have low end built in, based on the size of the earbuds alone, just as the Sony ones, but again, if you want Sony or Bose, buy them. They won\'t be these little gems. Never mind the little bit of low end that is not quite there as they would be on those other buds, I enjoy the aesthetics and features as well as the more than adequate sound performance for the money far too much to part with them or to feel I am missing out on a thing. Be sure to get the B & O app and adjust the sound and settings! I also own the Beo Play 3rd generation speaker in the same gorgeous deep green and the app controls both, which is so handy. There is ample bass in the Beo Play 3 speaker, which is where I want it. I do not want enough bass for a headache in my in ear phones. (These are just my two cents, being married for 25 years to an audiophile, and learning what good sound is and what it isn\'t. I love my B & O buds!)If I didn\'t mention the stunning deep green enough times, let me mention once more: these are stunning in color and design, and look as high-end designer as they truly are. I am wanting a second pair of earbuds to go with another phone of mine and I\'ll be buying B & O again! Since the green I purchased have shot up to $500 a pair due to supply and demand, I probably will select gray or black this time around. I treasure my gorgeous green ones all the more. So classy looking, such a lovely aesthetic to be worn and enjoyed along with the funtionality and the sound. Bravo, B & O!One more note: I needed to call customer service late at night to set these up around my busy life and CEO life schedule. A great rep answered right away and guided me through set up and was amazingly patient as my own executive assisting team in professionalism and helpfulness. My phone disconnected us, and I called back in and got the very same rep. I felt the quality of service matched the pricepoint and expectation I had. All in all 5 stars, and all are well deserved.
- I bought these to upgrade from the original first generation Beoplay E8s.Sound: Bang and Olufsen makes excellent sounding products. These should not disappoint in regards to quality. However, if the sound is not satisfactory out of the box they offer a complementary app where you can fine tune the sound to your taste. There is no active noise cancellation (ANC) in these headphones which is a bummer for the price point. After using them, I’m cannot say that it is a deal breaker because the tips provide very good sound isolation once you find the right fit. Overall, sound quality is top notch here. If I had one major complaint, it would be that these headphones don’t get louder.Design: Coming from the first generation, the design is much improved. The case is a great size and feels very premium with its chamfered aluminum edges and leather exterior. The earbuds themselves are smaller and more sturdy than the previous models. To keep it brief, they aren’t big and they look much better than most.Features: The most improved feature on these is the transparency mode. Some reviewer‘s have claimed that the transparency mode isn’t any different than the previous model. This isn’t true however, because you have to go into the app in order to adjust it to what you would like. Once that is done, the transparency mode works much better. Compared to the previous model it sounds much more natural and you can actually still hear the music when it is on. The transparency mode actually shows that the passive noise cancellation on these is very good. The outside sounds you hear once transparency is turned on completely dissipate once it’s turned off. One of the biggest complaints I see about these headphones is that they still operate off of a slave/master set up. This means that the right earbud is always the dominant earbud and must be taken out of the case in order for the left one to work. Keep in mind that the addition of Bluetooth 5 has really made the distance required between the two headphones much less of an issue. If you wanted to, you could share the headphones with someone else and there would not be an issue. You would still need to use only the right one if you wanted to have just one earbud in. The other major improvement comes to call quality. Each earbud has an additional microphone bringing the total for the set up to four. The extra microphones definitely make a difference as nobody I’ve spoken to had any trouble hearing me. If someone on the reviews is complaining about call quality, it may be that they have placed the earbuds incorrectly in their ear. This would potentially result in one of the microphones being covered. Overall though, the competition (for a plethora of reasons) has a better set of features typically so you have to decide if these meet your top needs.Battery: These headphones really excel in regards to battery life. In the month that I have had them (after being charged only once), they have not died after day to day moderate use. The case allows for wireless charging and it has a USB-C port on the back. Their claims about battery life are rarely accurate, but that’s not the case here. They claim 7 hours per ear bud on a single charge and 35 hours from recharging via the case. I can believe these numbers based on personal use.In short, these headphones are geared towards individuals who want sound quality and design above all else. Battery life is incredible and they have a decent list of features that make them a decent option to consider. It’s a luxury brand, and you ultimately have to decide if the luxury aspect is important for you.
- Pros:Good fit, passive noise cancellation (No ANC) great sound quality.Cons:Bad software, same issues after year of ownership (Keep reading)I\'ve owned the original E8\'s and now the 3rd gen and they all have the same issues. The left bud lowers volume, activates pass-through, and skips back. If the touch pad gets damaged in the slightest bit (mine has no visible nicks or cuts) then it will keep tripping that touch sensor. I\'ll be sitting there and it will turn on pass through, i turn it off and it lowers my volume to mute, or it skips back a song. This is driving me to buy from a different brand in the future. As well, the left earbud pairs from the right. So if you want to use the left earbud by itself, you cannot. The right earbud primarily connects to your device then links it to the left.
- Sound is not much different than other buds. These also do not stay in the ears very well. Must be sitting and not moving much for them to stay . Battery life while listening to music is not even 10 hours.
- Title says it all. I own them all, the sonys, Bose, Sennheiser, master and dynamic, pixel buds pro, galaxy buds pro 2, the ankher liberty pro 3s, and more (I\'m aware I have a problem). These are far and away the best sounding earbuds I own, and for the price you can get them right now (130 bucks) it\'s a no brainier.
