- Disappointing! Not what I expected and overall not what anyone would expect from a premium priced product. Let me elaborate.First of all I actually would like to give Beastgrip some credit by saying that machining of metal parts is very decent and they are well anodized. Combining this with the fact that the general idea behind this product is very interesting and it\'s mostly implemented right only makes what I\'m going to say next even more disappointing.So, to the sad part. This cage has almost no padding, that would protect your 1000$+ device from rubbing against the metal cage. Only a few (3) small cheap foam stripes on each side is all that stands between your phone and metal cage. Same for the screen lid. Five foam stripes is all that separates your screen from metal lid. And like it\'s not enough, the buttons are made of solid aluminum with no rubber/plastic inserts whatsoever, so it\'s \"metal against metal\" situation. Seriously, Beastgrip? Now comes the most hilarious part that literally blown my mind. The power button is terribly misaligned and placed in such way that it\'s going to press actual phone power button on the very lower edge, potentially leading to breaking the actual phone button thanks to uneven force distribution. And last minor complaint is that the latch, that holds main frame and the lid together is actually made of plastic, which may or may not lead to its quick demise.Now what I would expect instead of all this? A full soft silicon lining all around the phone frame. Whole silicon pad all around inner surface of screen lid. Rubber(ish) pads/lining between Beastcage and iPhone buttons to prevent \"metal against metal\" situation. In fact why this thing isn\'t designed to be used along official Apple silicon case is beyond my comprehension. That would eliminate almost all mentioned problems and would give way more protection for the phone overall. And ofc I would expect buttons to be centered or at the very least not as terribly misaligned.To summarize. It\'s a very interesting product with disappointing design choices and questionable materials used at some key points. I\'m not going to use it, as it will most likely damage my iPhone at some point. And I\'m going to stick to my Beastgrip Pro I can only say good things about.P.S. On a few photos you\'ll see iPhone in a silicon case. It\'s made on purpose to demonstrate buttons alignment, not show the actual usage scenario.
