  • Fantastic sound. Pity about the I centric nature of theses. Some people don\'t use the gryphon. Oh the apple products. What about windows phone and lord forbid android users. Do they not listen to music.Dump the Idock rubbish. 30 pin or lightning connectsI use the USB directly from a windows PC. Its an amazing difference to the sound .Its worth the time to put this in the room and work out where it lives best. People wine that its got less bass more bass.... blah blah Why not audition this and make up your own mind. Bowers and Wilkins does not make $1000 clock radios nor so they have anything to gain by creating junk.I own 2 pairs of B&W speakers and like all good things they cost more. However the last pair of speakers I brought was many years ago and there is not a new version every year. Its just not how it works sound dock 2015,People have made some very harsh criticisms of theses speakers. I wonder if they can hear much more than the Bose effect. All mid base and treble pinching. As we get older that\'s what is immediately apparent. \\These seekers are happy with a $1000 clock radio and a lot of infomercials. For the rest of us try something designed by listening and not a cad drawing.Warm smooth and delightfully non offensive.Clean sharp and dynamic.Try it.
  • I bought the Zeppelin mini because I am abroad for the year and couldn\'t haul my big Genelec speakers with me.I bought my Zeppelin mini used from save central. Props to them, saved about 50 bucks and the dock is same as new, only slight signs of usage on the remote control.As I opened the package I found a very solidly built speaker. When I plugged it in and played some music I was very impressed.- First of all the sound is perfectly balanced, meaning the balance of bass, mid range, and treble. The bass sounds very dynamic and not boomy like the bose sounddock, I personally don\'t like the boomy sound of the bose sounddock. The sounds of the midrange are nice and clear, not fuzzy. The treble is unbelievably clear.- I have listened to the zeppelin mini playing different genres of music. I listen to all kinds of music, classical, jazz, rock, rap, you name it. The performance in all of these fields is superb, the most I like the sound listening to led zeppelin kind of rock.- You can listen to it really loud without any distortion or lack of bass.Buy this unit If you value excellent sound quality in a small unit, I guarantee, you will not be disappointed!
  • I was among the early ones who pre-ordered this item to replace my aging Bose Dock(the docking section gets \'loose\' after 3 years(bad design?) thus the sound is on and off sometimes).I turned the Mini on and asked myself,\"Where is the bass?\" I thus went to my ipod touch\'s sound setting and manually turned on the bass; now I got some bass. Alas, it sounds awful; the speakers distorted. Also, several times I had to turn down the volume since suddenly the speaker started to get loud. One good note is every thing else about the mini is spectacular; design, treble, mid range and functions. I have B&W Surround Sound system for my home theaters for the past 13 years and they still sound extremely good. I am very puzzled and disappointed with this Z mini.I gave it several more days to see if my ears can get use to this sound but finally decided to return the item for the original B&W Zeppelin.***The kinds of music I listen to are rock, acoustic, new age, jazz, and alternatives.
  • I spent about 6 months on and off researching iPod dock systems. I was willing to spend up to $300 to buy a device to play music stored on my iPhone 3G and iPd Nano, as I\'ve transferred all music from CD\'s to iTunes on my MacBook, and our stereo speakers were old and needed replacement.I checked Best Buy and was not happy with any of the products I could demo with my iPhone. They all seemed cheap and the sound ranged from tinny to too much bass. Interesting that the Bose display does not let you try your own music, only listen to a canned Bose music demo. Went to my local Apple store to see what they carried and listened to the Mini Zepp. Loved the sound quality, form factor and size so bought it from Amazon.I couldn\'t be happier with this product. We put it on a table in our living room. It sounds great on low volume - I like to have it playing when reading. I can crank up the volume and hear it well in the kitchen and throughout our house. And of course, it looks awesome. It is perfect for us and fits our needs. I highly recommend.
  • B&W built the Zeppelin Mini with the same impeccable style and quality as the original Zeppelin. Arguably, the Mini is a better industrial design than its larger counterpart. However, potential buyers should be aware that they have not been able to overcome the laws of physics. This is a small speaker system and will not achieve the bass extension or volume of a larger system. However, within the limits of its relatively small drivers, the sound is refined, warm, and harmonically full. Many have lamented the high price of the system and indeed you are not paying exclusively for the sound quality. This is a true lifestyle product in the sense that it\'s about equal parts aesthetics, build quality, and performance. Judged by those criteria, this is an excellent product.
  • The sound is OK, not much bass as expected. There is no additional bass unit available for this unit. The remote did not work. I replaced the battery that they supplied and the remote was able to turn on the unit, sometimes, but the volume and other controls do not work. Amazon is reimbursing me for purchasing a new remote. I will post if that new remote works. The design of the remote is stylish but not useful. It is shaped like an oval, so the user can\'t tell which is the front or back of the remote without looking. The markings are very small and require good lighting to see.
