• The active noise cancellation is pretty amazing. Just about all ambient noise is cancelled out. Don\'t expect total silence. You will still be able to hear nearby conversations, but at much reduced level.Most over-the-ear headphones cause great discomfort for me after wearing them for a while. The Sony is well designed and I do not have any ear pains, even after wearing them all day. These might be the most comfortable headphones I have worn for extended listening. It seems that the ear pads are designed for wearing eyeglasses too.The main downside is the audio quality. Sound clarity and detail are almost nonexistent. You can\'t compare these to Beyerdynamic or Sennheiser. Even a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50xBT2 will sound better. People talk about adjusting EQ settings, but that is just overcompensating for lack of sound quality. What you are paying for with the Sony are noise cancellation and comfort.
• Honestly, I cannot imagine how to improve this product. It\'s amazingly great and the perfect headphone to use inflight. Impossible to no like the Sony, even though I was reluctant to.
• These are simply the best sounding pair of Bluetooth headphones out there, the Active Noise Cancellation is mind blowing too, say goodbye to any noises when you are at a busy place, the ambient sound is awesome too, I can hear outside voices and noises as if I didn’t have the headphones on. You need to tweak the EQ at first to your liking, but once you do that you will not regret the sound and performance of this. Plus, battery is great too, 30 hours on a full charge and 3 minutes of charging give you 3 hours of listening time, so these will probably never run out of battery for you. These are just the best.
• coming from b&w px7, i’m pretty happy except their is no possible way to get the digital stream to your headphones. the usb-c is only for charging. But the sound is pretty good notwithstanding this flaw.
• Basically I replaced my almost 3 year old Sony xm3 with these. I was happy to save on this refurbished set which looked like they had been worn maybe a few times, if that. I got the external warranty just in case. Sony builds amazing stuff in my experience so I\'m not too worried. Latest generation noise canceling is amazing! (but not perfect in a very noisy place). I recommend you try these in a store like best buy before you buy. I didn\'t and took a risk they would fit and work right but luckily they did. Software app takes some time to update your firmware so be patient and do it. 4.5 out of 5 stars (if I could.)
• So I got these in December 2022 when they were $219 (vs 399 on sale and $500 retail). I have the XM3 (which are somewhere in my house that I can\'t find) and I thought they were great. These are better. The controls are easier to use, the sound is great, and the noise cancelling is also improved. I don\'t think I would upgrade from the 4 to these unless it was a great deal like this, but I\'m glad I found this listing and bought them refurbished. I got everything included like they were brand new. No scratches, smudges, or anything.
• I really like these headphones. They have the best noise cancelling ability of any headphones or earbuds I\'ve owned. I am part of the multimedia team at my church and have to adjust the sound to Facebook Live while the band is playing in the same room. These headphones isolate me from the ambient sound enough to hear how the sound is for our online listeners. Even without the ANC, they block most low-level ambient sounds like fans and my roommate\'s TV.The battery lasts for a good while with the ANC on; the first week I used it, I know it lasted for at least 8 hours of ANC + Bluetooth use between charges. I would need to make a conscientious effort to get an accurate measurement of that, though.They were clean upon arrival, and I wouldn\'t have known they were renewed if I had received them as a gift.
