- The JBL replaces my old Trelab 77, which I had for a couple of years. The Trelab was an okay unit, it was just built with some less expensive parts - the charger was a mini USB; the female connection slowly but surely deteriorated over the years to the point where it wouldn\'t charge. This unit uses a USB C connection which is much sturdier. Second, the sound is better; the bass mid and treble are all crystal clear. I don\'t think it\'s as loud a the Trelab, but the clarity and quality of the sound more than makes up for the slight volume loss. I really like the JBL a lot.
- I just received my JBL Flip 6 yesterday, charged it up, and hooked up the Bluetooth to my phone. Then, to test it I put on a YouTube recording of \"I Won\'t Dance\" (Sinatra with fantastic big band and arrangement by Nelson Riddle). BLEW ME AWAY!!! The sound of this little unit is fabulous.By the way - I have a Bose TV Sound Bar which cost twice as much as the little JBL unit and the JBL blows it out of the water.I do not know how long it will last, but for now I have to give it FIVE HAPPY STARS!!!Thanks!
- This speaker plays music very well and has pretty great bass. It\'s easy to use and set up and also has an app that will let you adjust the eq of the speaker. It\'s very portable and has a party mode button to connect to other JBL speakers. The only complaint I would have is that it might not be AS loud as other speakers but can still get pretty loud.I\'ve noticed the speaker goes on sale often and that\'s what made me decide to buy it. It was a decent price for a JBL speaker.
- Value for the money is pretty good, considering the overall size of item. Sound quality is what you expect from JBL, and you get it here. The only, quasi, regret I may have is that the charge is only $30 more and after seeing the in-person comparison, in size and battery life, it could have swung me. However, ounces are pounds and this product is much more maneuverable bc of the lack of size, while still providing plenty of battery life and great sound quality. Plus, the flip offers the ability to connect multiple speakers for more sound. I’m not sure if the charge offers that
- This speaker is compact and good for travel and outdoor events. The surround sound is prefect for all genres of music and the added bass for those who like their music up tempo will be pleasantly pleased. For those who are a little tech challenged this speaker has a simple Bluetooth connection. I hope you enjoy your speaker as much as I do!
- JBL has been able to put together a superior sounding portable bluetooth speaker at a reasonable price. The Flip 6 has very good sound separation for its small size. The bass is strong and well defined and the mid and high notes are pleasant at fairly moderate volume which is loud enough for me. It can be played very loud but the detail quality of the sound diminishes. Battery life is very good and the speaker is small and very portable. I use it for my boat when I\'m anchored at a sandbar instead of using the boat stereo to save on the boat\'s battery.
- I\'m no Techster. Technology can screw my head up trying to get things to operate as they should. Got home from work at about 6:40 a.m. Had this baby operational by 7:00 a.m., or shortly thereafter. Great sound. Really great sound!!!! Well worth the price.
- The first one arrived in a package that had clearly been previously opened. While it paired ok with the phone and TV, the bass sounds were rattly and scratchy even when the JBL app was used to minimize the bass. I decided to take a chance on a replacement rather than a refund and I\'m glad I did. The replacement is excellent. My only criticism is that it rolls around too easily and that the power button is on the bottom rather than the top.
