- I’m new to using a gimbal so it took some figuring out, but once I did, this thing is awesome! Took great action shots for my son and great videos of my daughters band performance.Only con is there’s no charge indicator so you never know if the battery is full or empty or charging.
- The media could not be loaded. OK. This is a conflicting review for me to write. It took me a LONG time before I actually got this thing to work. There are very little instructions included. The video they tell you to watch on their website is not much help at all. I had heard that you could operate this without using the app, which is what I wanted to do. But... eventually I gave up and downloaded the app.The app: Oh wow, this app is terrible. First, it took several attempts to even create an account. It had some kind of select the order of the symbols captcha, and I kept getting it right (it said success) but then it said it didn\'t work, and you had to wait a minute to try again. Then you have to allow all kinds of permissions to the app (permissions that I don\'t think it needed to operate, but if you didn\'t give them you couldn\'t use the app). When I finally got in, it seemed that there was an update to the Gimbal. So, I ran that. Maybe that was the issue the whole time?It wasn\'t. I still couldn\'t use the gimbal - it seemed like parts of it would work, but the joystick, or switching to other modes did not. Before I threw it out the window in frustration, I finally decided to watch a video on youtube from someone who had this gimbal to explain how to make it work. Guess what? there were two additional locks on it that had to be unlocked in order for it to work. I never would have figured that out on my own without trying to break the gimbal, because it takes force to unlock them... so you almost seem like you\'re snapping something.Joy! Now it seems like the joystick, the mode switch, the gimbal itself works. And you can use it now without the app - though the app is still needed for some features. I know I still need to practice with it and learn more about the different modes, but it is working, and I think working pretty well.Now about the product and accessories it came with - it came with a really nice case for the gimbal, and a magnetic light that you can snap on with four different colored lenses that you can snap onto the light to create interesting effects - red, blue, yellow, and orange. It came with a pretty worthless manual (they expect you to go online to their site and look at their video and documentation there, but it\'s not much better there I can tell you). It also came with a small tripod that you can screw on to the bottom of the gimbal. Overall, the quality of the product seems good - if only they had people to develop a better user experience. I think I lost sleep over the frustration of this initial setup!!!I hemmed and hawed about the stars - really, with the horrible instructions and app it should get 3.5... but I thought I\'d round up instead of down. The product is good. Once you get past the initial headache and don\'t mind having to use the app every so often...I attached a short video comparing taking a video of pictures on the wall while walking down the stairs - both with and without the gimbal (without the gimbal I\'m just holding the phone in my hands).
- I have a couple other Zhiyun gimbals and this being one of their latest gimbals, I had to give it a try. The instructions are very vague, but I have had experience with them before but for anyone who is new to the device, it will take some rereading of the manual and trial and error. Keep practicing. But once setup properly, the device functions as intended. I use it with my iPhone 13 Pro Max with Moment lenses, and it hold up just fine. I would recommend this to more experience and gimbal users than beginners. Look elsewhere of you want simplicity.
- I give 3 stars on the set up instructions and 5 stars on the product, avg 4 stars...set up needs to be improved by maker, very confusing, app is clunky....BUT, at this price point, this Gimbal is truly amazing how it removes shake from video!wow!!! I have a few Gimbals, but they keep getting better over the years and this one makes my previous ones obsolete now....great finish, great ergonomics, great adjustability....the product is very well thought out and engineered for sure...now just get your documentation and UI in order and u got a first class product !if u are already techy, then u can overcome the start up issues and will love this gimbal
- I\'m a professional photographer. I spend my days deep in the menus of pro-grade DSLRs and multi-light remote lighting setups. Complex camera menus and configurations are nothing new to me at all. That said, this thing is baffling. There\'s no charge indicator so you never know if the battery is full or empty or charging. The manual is... \'confusing\' is too mild a word. There are lots of diagrams with arrows that may or may not match up with the way the device actually moves. Bluetooth connectivity is hit or miss. Once you DO get everything hooked up and turned on the gyros work amazingly well. But getting to that point...yikes. And if you do over-rotate it expect the phone to just suddenly turn upside down and ruin your shot.
- I love how handy it is for me to use whenever I want to go on a outing to the beach to parties easy to handle.
