Nice,clear sound!
I thought the detail retrieval was amazing but almost too amazing where it stood out to much. I never owned a closed back phone so it lost a lot of dimension and air to the performance depending on the music. Solo piano was great but I think these phone bring out the nuances of an instrument like that. On fuller range songs, I lost the bottom end air and extension but maybe it’s my old ear drums. I wanted to very badly like them but I knew I wouldn’t have used them much if I had kept them.
The Good first :- A very luxious headphone provided with many accessories in a superb case- Sound is good but not exceptional compared to more ordinary competitors (price less than 1000$)- Confort is OKThe less good :- it\'s a quite heavy and bulky piece and will heat your ears after 30 minutes of usageThe bas :After less than one year, the cable broke, which is very unfortunate and Focal does not provide a replacementBy the way this original cable is too thick, heavy and rigid and a bit too shortI have replace it with a MEZE Audio premium cable lighter, more flexible and comfortable
I don\'t even have words to describe these works of art. They literally transport your body into whatever studio or venue your song was recorded in. Breathtaking. No words. I would work a 2nd and 3rd job to buy these. Don\'t even second guess it. Nothing in the market today matches these.
I cannot imagine a better sounding headphone setup for me at this point. I was able to purchase a discontinued Arche amp connected to my Sony NW-WM1Z and the sound is the best I have ever heard.
Amazing looking and comfortable. The sound is better than my HD 820. The rich, full, and detailed sound and imaging is amazing. Only soundstage is lacking compared to HD 820 but it still amazing. This and Empyrean are the best $3000 I have spent. Oh yeah, the bass blows up at very load volumes but there is no headphones that can do that except for my electrostatic L700. I love these more than L700 because they look and feel better and you can take on the go and use them with everything. Low impedance so very easy to drive. Like other review I also go LQI cables for it and use it with my Sony NW-WM1Z. Wow!
These headphones are not portable despite what might be claimed. I don\'t want to walk around wearing them.The styling is too loud. I would have preferred a much toned down styling, and less value in the packing (more in the goods).I would have also liked better noise isolation. These are probably semi-closed instead of fully closed.Sound is definitely good though.
The sound coming from these are by far the best. I have Beyerdynamics & Audio Technicas that don\'t match these Stellias. However, I\'ve owned Beyerdynamics and ATs for years. They\'ve never broken down. Meanwhile, the flimsy plastic headband that Focal put in these snapped by wear n\' tear within 6 months, I purchased these in August 2021. Not worth the price tag because of this crucial flaw.
