Sennheiser IE 600 in-Ear Audiophile Headphones - TrueResponse Transducers for exquisitely Neutral Sound, Detachable Cable with Flexible Ear Hooks, Includes Balanced Cable, 2-Year Warranty
- Bought direct from sennheiser but wanted to write a review here as they were all in Japanese. These little guys are huge sounding. They feel like i have a pair of HD25ii plus directly attached to my brain. They bring out a lot of sub-bass clarity, which is actually great for DJing - but they\'re not over emphasized in any way in terms of their sound.I would call the sound signature \"pretty neutral with enough spice in the right places\"Now for the bad:THESE CABLES SUCK. They are coated with some form of poly-something which is super uncomfortable. I still havent found a placement for them that feels good - but at this point the sound quality is so nice its just taking the bad with the good and waiting for some other cable to come around for these (the MMCX is not standard, sennheiser recessed the plug-in... trying to be like apple and go proprietary maybe?)I\'m serious when I say that I love everything about these except the cable. I highly dislike the cable. Why would you even include a cable like this on an expensive audiophile product? I guess they had to save costs somewhere.... but personally I would have rather had the headphones come with a single 3.5mm cable and it be better quality, then them charge me for a new 4.4mm one if i need one - 4.4 being obscure to most people I can\'t imagine that including them by default is very profitable. The earbuds say \'pro performance\', the cable says \'elegant and stylish\' - they don\'t match in my opinion. The cable is also too short for me....5 stars for sound quality4 stars over all because sennheiser made some poor decisions with the ancillary components
- Echoing other reviews: These IEM sound fantastic, but my own left driver seems to be very positional even in the first week of ownership. I tried both the 4.4 mm and 3.5 mm cables but it doesn\'t seem to alleviate the issue, so I can only assume there is defect in the driver\'s connector. Not confidence-inspiring for the cost.Sennheiser requires you to pay your own shipping for warranty service (despite this being brand new) and Amazon does not have an option for replacements, so it looks like they\'re going back for refund instead. Unfortunate.
- One prob is cable that is not comfortable and is hard to bend. Thats all. This earbud gives Perfect sound for me.
- buy it if u got the budget
- About the headphones themselves: they are some of the best you can buy. Sound quality is top-tier, comfort is probably the best I\'ve tried. Incredible package and truly and endgame IEM. The eartips are mediocre and the cables are alright at best. It does come with a nice hardcase and 4.4mm balanced cable which is nice I guess but the overall cable quality is lacking. Highly recommend the Null Audio custom cables if you want to upgrade. Now to everything bad: These lasted about 2 weeks for me. At first I was convinced something was going wrong with the fit, the left IEM sounded like something was covering the opening. I could manipulate it and it would come back to life and then die out again. Tried different cables, ear tips, everything. I went to check online and this apparently is quite common! This truly floored me, I\'ve owned probably 20+ IEM\'s and headphones, most made in China and cost less than half of what these did and I\'ve yet to have ANY fail. This are made in Germany and are well above average in cost, arguably way too expensive in a world where Moondrop makes IEMs (see Blessing 2:Dusk, Variations). So I reached out to Sennheiser who quickly sent me an automated RMA packet with basically no instructions. I had to pay for shipping to get these sent out, but I didn\'t want to take the chance of returning only to get another bad set of IEMs. Reading online other people had just shipped back the bare headphones and had them quickly replaced. So I did the exact same, which cost me about $10 to ship to their QC department. Much to my excitement I received a package back from Sennheiser in about 5 days only to find they didn\'t even bother to open the package containing the IEM\'s and sent me a notice that I would have to send the ENTIRE original package back to complete this process.I quickly sent off an email to them explaining the situation, here I had PAID to return brand-new defective headphones which they rejected for repair based on not having the original box and presumably.....ear tips? Well it took about 5 days for them to respond and it was essentially an automated reply stating I would need to re-ship the headphones to them again with no further explanation.Screw that. Immediately shipped them back to the seller for a refund. World Wide Stereo was fantastic in paying for the return shipping and good instructions on how to do this. I\'ll consider buying these again in the future when I\'m feeling brave but honestly what a garbage experience for a supposed \'high-end\' product. In short, I would NOT buy these open box ever. My bet is they are defective returns. I will likely only consider getting them from authorized dealers with good return policies as well. If you get a good set you will be quite happy but good luck if you don\'t!
- They were great until a driver died and I lost audio to one ear.
- Sounds phenomenal but has QC issues. I used it but one driver occasionally kept disconnecting and it got irritating to the point where I wouldn’t know if it would some day permanently disconnect. And also I have read other reviews where one driver has just failed so I finally decided to return it as the product quality was not what I paid for. I would still say these sound excellent but I don’t know where to get Sennheiser service for these once it fails. I also couldn’t find anyplace where I could actually order replacement cables for these as these are slightly different MMCX. If you get them then good luck!
- I expected better QA control for $600 product and for something not made in China. Sound quality is great if it works. But less than a day I got this and there\'s already a problem with its cable, , causing one of the earphones to intermittently lost sound.
