- Bought used sold from Amazon. But the gimbal is missing it\'s cord. Amazon should verify items to be complete before reselling. I\'m very disappointed, even though the gimbal is great and I got it for a great price, missing items is not acceptable.
- So far the Zhiyun Smooth 5 has been working great as a cell phone gimbal. I have a Zhiyun model from a few years ago that was good but definitely needed improvement, and the Smooth 5 makes a really excellent package for someone who wants pro-style quality at a reasonable price.The first thing I noticed about the Smooth 5 was the build quality - it feels better all around compared to the earlier model I had (I wish I remembered what it was but don’t at the moment). I tried out the tracking feature and was really impressed by it, and, while there’s some learning involved, once you get the hang of the different modes you’re good to go. The app userface that you use with your phone also works really smoothly.The included tripod attachment is great to, especially for those who might want to use it to record themselves in front of the camera. I work as a newspaper photographer, so I carry around large DSLR cameras for still images, but I’m not able to bring around tripods or larger equipment in general, so the Zhiyun Smooth 5 makes it easy to bring along (since it’s so compact) and gives me the kind of pro quality movement that I look for when recording video. (So far I’ve avoided DSLR gimbals since I use 1DX bodies, but my cell phone works great for newspaper/editorial type footage, and it would be great for most content creators in general.
