Plantronics Calisto 7200, Premium Speakerphone, Black
- This device has really clear microphones, the speaker is decent, but I don’t really care about the speaker. I could hear the person perfectly fine, but the microphones unit is what makes it shine.
- It\'s the most expensive of all options, but it works very well. The audio is clear to hear other people, the microphone is clear for others to understand my speech. Noise cancelling appears to be working very well, nothing obvious that it is NOT working. Most importantly, it works through my docking station across different laptops seamlessly, which other speaker devices have not in the past. I\'m not using bluetooth, I have it hard wired.
- Like many, the pandemic has caused me to spend a lot of time in meetings using tools like Zoom, Teams, etc. I got tired of using a headset with a cord and large headsets, in general. I wanted something that gave me more freedom, but still offered good sound quality for both the speaker and microphone. I tried a Jabra speakerphone first, but was told that I sounded like I was using one. I was hesitant to spend the extra money on the Calisto 7200, but was able to get one on sale. I am so happy I did. It just works, speaker sounds great, and others say I sound much better. I have only used it connected to my PC, but know it offers additional connectivity options. I hope the try the bluetooth option in the future. I use this almost everyday. It is a great product!
- both speaker and mic perform well. cable is bulky, thick, and just goes all over the place. if your setup is stationary, fixed, then doesn\'t matter tho
- Initially I purchased the eMeet2, but noticed poor filtering of background noise. My research indicates the Plantronics 7200 was originally a product by Polycom called the VOXBOX. When Plantronics purchased Polycom a couple years ago the product was relabeled the 7200.I connected both devices to my computer and performed some room sound testing by recording sound from both devices to computer. So this review reflects what the people on the other end of your conversation will hear from you.The 7200 has several benefits over the eMeet2:1. Significantly better voice intelligibility (it has the crisp voice that all Plantronics products have via the microphones on the 7200)2. Significantly better background noise suppression. (sometimes even amazing)3. Comes with both a standard and security style USB cable4. Works very well out to 8 feet away and ok out to 14 ft away.5. Has 4 directional microphone array just like the eMeet2eMeet2 Advantages:1. Comes in white color2. Has slightly louder audio pickup on the fringes around 10-14 ft distance3. Cool UFO lights show direction of sound pickup (this is an aesthetics thing, not a functional thing)Overall, at the end of the day you need to be heard as clearly as possible and the Plantronics 7200 does a better job of pushing through speech that is more clear to recognize than the eMeet2. Both products are similarly priced.
- It\'s about 4 inches square, which makes it about the most compact speaker available. It\'s sturdy and a bit heavier than I expected, but not overly so. It fits in my laptop bag very well and I travel a lot. Works for small to medium conference rooms well. Haven\'t tried it in a large room, but it would probably get the job done in most conference rooms you\'ll encounter (a conference room, not a room at a conference). The DSP works well, but better on USB than bluetooth. Only positive reviews from the other end on usb, sometimes get comments on bluetooth when the battery gets low or there\'s lots of interference in the environment. Sound is great for what it is. Audio snobs will find a reason to not like it but it sounds great. I use it a lot in the hotel room so I can talk to my wife as I walk around getting ready for work or for bed. Music is good, audiobooks are good. They say it\'s water resistant but I haven\'t tried that.
- This is it. Buy this one. I tried cheaper ones and they were not good. This device is amazing. It’s truly pro quality. I work at home and used this for multiple days for more than 8 hours a day. Each day several people commented about my sound quality (and they did not know I had a new device). And on top of that I thought several people had purchased new equipment on their end - turns out this device had a major improvement on incoming sound quality. This device is expensive and worth every penny. Look no further. This is the one.I’m just a guy, I bought this device on my own and I have no affiliation with the seller or manufacturer. If you see other reviews less than perfect they are not true. Again... this is the one.
- Not loud enough to use as a speaker for example to watch a nice movie or to listen to deep bass music, but it is the best quality for conference calls. My neighbors don\'t like any noise at all so it is perfect for me in my apartment. The sound is much better than my computer or android alone. Nice bass, good level of treble. I have no complaints about this one. I wish it had some USB or other attachments but if it did, it probably would not be as good as it is. I have not tried the Anchor, which also holds power for 24 hours I believe, and charges another device. I needed the simpleness of this device because it is not something wanted for anyone who would want it for the purpose of a wireless speaker. This device also holds power, for 6 hours.
