- Would have given it a 5 start, but am only getting 2 to 3 bars of 4g lte, not 5g service, but before i only had 1 bar of i was lucky & had to have a hot spot or mifi in order to be online on my couch. Got it installed easily, I\'m very handy & mechanically incline. Wish that it didn\'t have to be 30\' between the antennas, I may move it from the house to a tree eventually. Biggest thing i hate is the power cord is less than 6\' long. I am recommending it to at least 3 people i know & going to post it on social media at some point
- After reading many reviews on boosters, antennas, 50ohm cable vs RG6 75ohm I chose\" Amazboost A1 Cell Phone Booster for Home -Up to 2,500 sq ft, Cell Phone Signal Booster Kit.\"The installation: goes straight forward. Had some questions and reached out to support. Tried calling for help and tried their own messenger service on their web site. Result- nadda. \"leave a message and we\'ll call you back\". (yes, It was during m-f ,8-5 MST)Figured my issues out from all the other Cell booster sites and forums.The REGISTRATION is required by FCC. Not fun to find. Used the WEBOOST site to find my carrier.Note: My carrier is Cricket so I had to register it on ATT network.The unit is working as it should. I have a 40\' x60\' steel barndominium and signal inside was almost non existent. I spent about 40 minutes on the roof checking signal strength to find the optimal location. I was surprised to find it was not at the peak. Wire it all up, registered it, plugged it in and tested everything. Very happy with the outcome so no further tweaking was needed.I believe the research was FAR more painful than the install. The Booster does just that and I am happy with the purchase. Life span? Unknown! Can only say It works well today.I would recommend and buy it again. Providing it has a good lifespan.
- Mounting and set up of hardware was easy if you have the tools (drill with drill bits, 10mm wrench or deepweel socket, ladder to get to the highest point of your roof, and possibly a caulk gun with something to seal any hole you may need to drill.... setting up the software and trying to read the tiny font in the manual was difficult... although I managed.This does work. It boosted the cellular signal in my home from barely 1 bar, to solid 3 bar strength. I also use T-mobile 5G internet and it has boosted the signal of that as well.
- Gives us a reliable hotspot with 5 bars inside a steel building. Easy enough to set up, we don\'t have ours permanently installed so we can take it on the road with us too. Just put the antennae on a post, in a chair or whatever works, and run the (included) cord to the base, instant 5 bars from 1. Great product, was really impressed that it worked INSIDE the steel building when we are there too.
