- So I went from 1 to 2 bars outside and 0 to 1 bar inside a brick house to 4 to 5 bars in the same room where the antanae is. Other rooms get 2 to 3 bars as well. Installation isn\'t necessarily hard but it does take time, I spent my 2 days off installing it. You must follow the directions when it states how far each piece must be from each other and the unit will work beautiful. At first I didn\'t have my outside antanea far enough away from the inside amplifier which caused problems. I had a telescoping 30\' tower I had installed it on so I simply raised it more. I had questions during the intall and sent the seller questions through Amazon and he responded promptly every time making the install easier. If you need to boost your cell signal this is all you need, sure you could spend 500 or more on a different brand but why when this product works great. Just be patient during install and follow directions is my final thought.
- I had purchased another brand of high rated booster which did not work. I live in the mountains of NC and have very poor signal level here -107 dB at best. This unit is well built and quite heavy. My antenna is a Wilson 11db gain yagi and that combo does the trick. -mid 80s dB and a very usable data connection. Even streamed a movie without buffering. My only complaints are the instructions which are one page of worthless information and the touch screen doesn\'t make sense. However the unit works great.
- Must admit I was very skeptical about this and hope and prayed that it would work. I was very impressed with the results. Been using it for almost a month now and I have had zero problems with it so far. I fully recommend purchasing this if you need to boost your cell signal inside
- Overall, this thing does what it\'s supposed to do. I went from 1 bar to four bars inside, which is great.However, There are a few things that just really suck:1. They use N connectors, which are HUGE. So if you\'re drilling a hole in the side of your house to run the cable for the outdoor antenna, you need to drill a 1\" hole just to get the connector through the hole. Of course, the cable itself is only about 1/4\" so you now have this massive hole you drilled for this tiny cable. It also makes it really painful for fishing through walls, etc. An SMA connector on the amplifier end would have fixed this problem altogether.2. The \"manual\" is useless Chenglish. There is no explanation on how to configure the unit for better performance, no real useful information for anything really. You really just need to hope that when you plug it in, you dont need to adjust anything and it \"just works\".3. The \"touch screen\" is horrible. Touching it only works half the time, sometimes less often than that. If I ever have to adjust anything (which I hope I don\'t, given that there is no information on how to do it) then It will be an exercise in frustration.Again, overall the unit does work, so I can\'t complain there. I just wish the execution was a bit better.
- The media could not be loaded. I live way off of the beaten path, outside cell signal is spotty at best and inside my cabin it might be 1 bar if I hold my mouth right. I can usually make a call but they will drop from time to time. Phone battery runs down really fast because it\'s constantly searching for a signal.We decided to get a booster and we settled on this one in hopes it will also increase signal outside some as well.Well, it is awesome! Just got it all set up and turned on. I don\'t understand anything on the booster screen so I just set it to auto. Outside on the roof peak where I put the outdoor antenna I had 3 bars of signal. Inside before turning on the booster I had 1 bar. I watched my signal while I turned on the system. It immediately jumped to 5 bars (full signal strength) and hasn\'t wavered at all. Now it\'s winter time and the leaves are off of the trees but I expect to get at least 3 or 4 bars during the summer.I use the hotspot on my phone for internet access for work and streaming videos. It never very often worked until now! I am now watching a movie over my Wi-Fi hotspot on my TV without any buffering at all!I plan on buying a couple more for gifts for family and friends and one to put on my work shop where I have no signal inside at all.Bottom line is, this thing is worth every penny and will even save me some money! I\'m canceling my dish TV and my wifi service and will just use my hotspot on my phone with unlimited data!!! 💯
- This added peace of mind of not having dropped call and being able to have important calls and not have them dropped. We live in rural hilly location in a steel roofed and sided home. We went from one bar to three bars of service. My husband had installed in about a hour.
- I purchased this booster because of the reviews. This didn’t boost my signal at all. It even reduced the amount of Mbps on the signal speed test. No instructions on how to adjust the gain for better signal.
- Like other reviews mentioned the connector choice is really big for such a small cable. In my location it goes from 1 bar to 2 bars, and far less dropped calls. Nothing spectacular, but some improvement. Make sure you do your research for cell tower locations to get optimal exterior antenna placement.
