Ultrasone PROi Studio Headphones (780i)

I narrate books and need a decent set of headphones. I also have tinnitus, which is aggravated when I put earbuds into my ears, and the Ultrasone headphones are the perfect alternative for me.
The product is not comfortable and previous negative reviews are regularly deleted. Buyer beware!
Well, I own a Sennheiser HD 58X, a Hifiman HE4XX, a Beyerdynamic DT880, a Grado SR80e, a PSB m4u2, a Focal Elear, and now the Ultrasone pro 780i, so you see, I\'m addicted! Each headphone works well either for a particular genre of music or a particular situation. ( like closed for when I don\'t want to bother my wife late at night). My impression of the 780i was immediate and surprising at first listen. The first thing I noticed was the very open soundstage, apparently due to the \"S-logic\" technology. I like it a lot, really does mimic the sound of a pair of very nice speakers. Bass is accurate, not boomy, midrange also is accurate,, high end very extended, not as much as a Beyerdynamic but maybe that\'s a good thing. Build is plastic but seems very very sturdy, not like the m4u2 which I handle with kid gloves. The extra velour pads are a good addition, as I prefer them to the imitation leather. The sound is very hard to describe but it seems to grow on you. Watch the YouTube video \"who\'s wearing ultrasone headphones\" and that will sum up my feelings exactly. I\'m keeping these, for the investment involved it does merit an audition!
I produce music and podcasts wearing these for many hours, day in and day out. They are excellent!
