  • I\'ve been really excited about this one for a little while now, ever since I got the TW-E5B and fell in love with it. The stock tuning on that is Yamaha\'s signature house sound for bluetooth sets. I have both their flagship headphones too, and you get a similar spin on that tuning for both of those. Highly underrated. Very premium. Basshead level bass that shoves itself right up to the point where it would begin to harm the rest of the sound signature. Thumping, boomy, and downright delicious. So why, Yamaha, did you decide to pull back the bass so much and do all that mucking around in the upper mids and lower treble? Ever heard recordings with sizzly \'sssss\' sounds? The things everyone is trying to get rid of? Well, Yamaha is adding it back into the vocals. Even the passthrough audio in transparency mode does this, whereas the E5B is clear and natural in transparency mode. Yeah, the unit that\'s over $100 cheaper has better tuning and a better transparency mode. The E7B has a very premium design, feel, and comfort, and an improved technical performance that is noticeable. Likely a combination of the larger driver and \"room\" correction for your ear canal. As a side note, even though I don\'t use it often, the ANC is actually quite excellent on this unit.Still, you\'ll be begging the E7B to be gentler with your eardrum. Luckily, there\'s literally an EQ preset called \"gentle\" which mostly solves the issues with the stock tuning. Even with the bass bump in that preset, it still falls short of the E5B\'s stock tuning, and the traditional Yamaha house sound. However, it does sound quite nice in this preset, and I\'m considering keeping them for that reason.Compared to most other units, I\'d lean toward 4 stars, but comparing it to Yamaha\'s own offerings, specifically the E5B, I just can\'t go above 3. If you\'re on the fence, and want to save some money, I\'d recommend just getting the E5B.
  • Besides mediocre total battery, superb sound with user tunable EQ and excellent ANC makes it a beast! The physical button is nice to avoid accidental touch
  • I am not particularly picky about sound quality, so I am easily pleased by these earphones. I think they work great! What doesn\'t work for me is their shape. They just don\'t fit my ears as comfortably as my favorite buds.
  • Unlike the other reviews, they fit my ears comfortably. It did take some getting used to because it was a different style. They are bigger than most I have tried, and that’s what I am most unimpressed with. If they are bigger than most out there, the functions should be overwhelming. The sound is the best I have had, and really nice. The sound canceling was superb. It has another feature that pulls outside noise in, so that you can be more aware of the surroundings.I wasn’t impressed with the price range, compared to what my bottom dollar eat buds perform, compared to the Yamaha. Maybe I expected too much, they didn’t blow me away. On the same note, the did not disappoint.Positive note, I actually have to wear hearing aids, so obviously I have to take them out to use ear buds. When I used these, on the noise cancellation, and pause the music to talk. I can understand and hear people talk a lot easier. That’s a really cool feature, I actually use them more because of this, especially at work.
  • Ordered these to give Yamaha a shot in the headphone game. These are pretty cool and sound great, love the tunable EQ! I feel these are substantially better in the audio quality portion than the Airpod and possibly the Airpod pro\'s (I haven\'t tried the newest version though). I don\'t believe that the battery life is as long as they claim but I cant complain as it seems very similar to competitor bluetooth headphones. I think my only complaint is the size of these and how they dont feel like I get a good size with the provided ear pieces, comparatively these feel like they stick out a lot farther from my ear than other earbuds and would fall out if I was in the gym or doing anything causing me to move around or leaning to one side.Would recommend for the audiophile looking for a great entry to the wireless bluetooth earbud game but would keep in mind the size!
  • The name Yamaha was enough to give these a try. The sound quality is great. The Acrive Noice Canceling is pretty awesome. As for the sound, I have no complaints. But the design is not for me. First of all, no matter what size buds I use, they aren\'t comfortable to me. Thought it could possible just be my ears but my husband felt the same about them. There were a couple times, I went to reposition them or push my hair back, and paused them do to the touch feature. Very sensitive which is ok but maybe in a weird place. They tout long battery life but I\'d say average at best.I still think these are awesome based on sound alone.
  • These are easily my favorite pair of noise cancelling buds. They are a little bulky, but they pack a lot of tech into them, so it\'s understandable. I haven\'t had a pair of Yamaha\'s in years, somewhat surprisingly as that pair was great too (I believe they\'re were my first -chorded- pair of noise cancelling headphones). I would recommend these, if they are in your price range, get \'em.
  • These earbuds have fantastic sound quality. I downloaded the app to customize the sound to my liking and couldn’t be happier. They definitely beat the sound quality that my phone’s brand of wireless earbuds provide, but they are not quite as good when it comes to noise canceling.
