- I\'ve owned two pairs of these headphones over the past 15 years. They are the purest and cleanest sound you can find without compromising any of the depth. I have both 770 and 990 PRO for different purposes. I use my 990 PRO when I\'m at home and don\'t need to isolate my sound. The 770 are great for reference monitors while recording vocals or out in public to minimize noise bleed, but when it comes to getting the most pure sound you need a pair of 990 PRO 250Ohm.The case provided in this set is sturdy and fits both the 990 PRO and 770 perfectly.
- I found out about these after watching the streamer Pestily on Twitch, and thought that’s just too much money. However after feeling the build quality and hearing the superior sound, he was right. They’re worth every cent and more. These are by far the best bang for your buck, and will help you hear every little sound in game. I loved them so much that I immediately spent the extra money and got the DT 1990 Pro’s, and gave these to my son. The sound quality is amazing and paired with the right DAC/amp you can’t go wrong. They are open back so there isn’t any noise cancellation, and after now using both types of cans I can say definitively open back is better. KEEP IN MIND THAT FOR THESE HEADPHONES TO WORK, YOU HAVE TO PAIR THEM WITH AN AMPLIFIER.
- Why would noise cancellation be a rating for open back headphones?? Anyways, I am not sure what the deal is with the headphones. First off not sure if I received a refurbished or a knock off, but I reviewed other comments and appears these phones looks good and cheap at the same time. I hate the cable build. Even for this price it should have been detachable. The sound quality, as soons as I played music it sounded harsh, distorted, the highs were like sizzling in my ears it was likey ears were getting fatigued. So I played another song and another song , old songs from the 80\'s and every song sounded the same. Now I must say they are very detailed or more like overly detailed. It makes music sound bad. I changed the iTunes EQ to flat and it sounded a tad better. Running this out my Apollo twin interface which has enough power to push these, but I found turning the volume down LOW helped the ear fatigue but still the music sounded a mess. I found one song that sounded decent. How am I supposed bro know how to mix with these ? My judgement will be so far off comparing the mix from these with other cans. I am waiting for a high quality headphone amp to see if this makes a difference. But so far not pleased. But what\'s strange is I demoed these at guitar center and it sounded sooo superb which is why I bought these. I figured I got a bad pair but reading up on other reviews most everyone says the same thing. I am lossed. And cannot ever recommend these to anyone.
- These are awesome headphones, I was looking for over ear but with removable pads and long cables.It comes with both 2.5mm (3/32″) and 6.35mm (1/4″) plugs.I would highly recommend these headphones.
- I do music production as a hobby but I take it seriously and I purchased these to fill a void. During semi and final mixing, having an open back simulates a wider spectrum of sound. Closed back headphones don\'t reflect what a mix will sound like on earbuds or speakers, an open back tends to cover that better. I\'m much happier with the mixed down sound I get on my iPhone or my car speakers when I use these headphones for that task.
- Decided on these headphones for mixing and it was a great choice sound quality is superb, and the headphone are very comfortable when being worn for extended mixing sessions
- Many reviewers and youtubers are annoyed with the high frequency. It is in fact noticeable when I use it for watching youtube. I haven’t tried it for watching movie so I can’t say anything in that area.Since I mainly use it for music production, it is actually a great headphone. I love the solid punch of the bass and the clarity of mid frequency.
- I bought these for my husband as a Christmas gift and the style was nice however it didn’t have enough sound coming out of it
