  • I fed my Dell laptop into my Ford F-150 Sony 6+1 sound system using this as the interface. The Dell is a surplus Precision model from the Gulf War with double cooling fans and 4TB solid state hard drives. The onboard sound card must have stayed behind because it didn\'t even crackle. So I fed the USB into the S9Pro and used the 3.5 mm standard jack to the Sony\'s AUX input. The sound was brilliant if not a little overpowered. Since I was on a 1000 mile drive, I actually found a Radio Shack and bought one of those 2.5mm micro headphone plugs and used the unbalanced output. Seems like the impedance worked perfectly with the Sony, not over-driving the bass and still giving separation I have never heard before in my truck. Overall, it is worth the investment. Give your sound system some time to allow the little card to burn in. after a few hours you can tune the sound to remarkable clarity. Since most system AUX inputs are unbalanced, you might want to add a micro-stereo to 3.5mm headphone adapter to help the overall impedance and eliminate distortion caused by excessive power. This small card made my old Dell sound like my home system which happens to be a Soundcraft recording studio. Money well spent.
  • Is crazy what amps this size can do nowadays, this little thing is so powerful that it could replace my desktop amp. The sound coming from it is detailed, flat and analytical but highly musical and not boring at all. If you are looking for a tiny amp for portability with great power, non built in battery, balanced and unbalanced connections and excellent measurements this is it. It drives my Sundara, Sennheiser HD660S, Sennheiser HD560S and Phillips SHP9500 on the single ended connector to very loud volume levels, borderline of uncomfortable. Now for the bad, the device itself gets 5 stars from me. However the included type c to type c cable is trash, one of the sides is loose in all my devices, like it is not making good contact so no music comes through. Luckily I had my iPad\'s pro type c cable, otherwise I would\'ve had to wait for either a replacement or shell out extra for a type c cable. Second the included type c adapter to USB also is trash. I only used it once to connect to one of my laptops and when unplugging it the metal cover stayed inside the port, luckily I was able to pull it out. So in conclusion the dac itself is amazing with great quality, however the included cable and adapter are trash. I was going to reach out to support to get a replacement on this but it is not worth it for me. All of my devices have type c and if I ever need a type c to usb adapter, I\'ll just buy one here which will most likely have way better quality, plus the replacement cables might be as bad. So keep in mind this is a great device however the cables are nowhere near the quality of it. If you read reviews on this and the previous S9 you will see it is a common complain.
  • Works with Samsung, with some changes to settings. Must use USB Debugging with USB Audio Pass-Through [or w/e it\'s called] and adjust settings in Tidal HiFi/HiFi Plus to DQA Software Pass-Through and if on Win.10 you need to install the Hidisz Driver and Firmware Package - after this you will need to go into audio settings [device; Hidisz S9 Pro] and adjust audio performance settings -- this will allow that little BLUE light to eventually kick on after a few resets and possibly re-installs and Device Manager Settings Adjustments ((make sure your actual driver is the Hidisz [forgot the names, don\'t quote me on names] signed driver, NOT MICROSOFT.Hardware:-PHONE-Samsung Galaxy Note 9-HEADPHONES-Shure SE846, factory cablesOEM AKG-Samsung-AUDIO PLAYER-Tidal HiFi Plus, DQA, Win.10 & Android 11RESULTS (opinion, short):If you\'re not an anal..audio-phile.. get this Hidisz S9 Pro FIRST! • Ive had this dac since release, ive paired this with multiple type c devices and the result is terrific. I use Poweramp app to play my locally stored music, the single ended 3.5 is pretty good but it is night and day with the balanced output. My 300ohm sennheisers get more power from this than my 02 amp could ever do. Currently using this with a Xperia 1 IV. The only slight con is slight distortion at max volume, but at halfway device volume it is very loud and perhaps a slight power hog as well.
  • I used the S9 PRO to drive my HIFIMAN Sundara\'s and it worked out to be great. Sound/audio quality wise - zero complaints. The problems I had were(1) Occasional shutdownsI leave it plugged in 24/7 on my desktop. It occasionally (about once every 3 days) and shuts down without any warning. Unplugging and plugging it back in fixes it. The unit also runs pretty warm/hot.(2) The 3.5mm headphone port stopped working after 2 months. You can only hear from one side of the headphone. If you fiddle with it, you can get both sides to work. I switched to a 2.5mm balanced cable which so-far hasn\'t had any issues. This is disappointing for what is otherwise an excellent product.
  • What a difference this little DAC has on the music I steam from Qobuz—all for the better. I have it connected to my iPad to my headphones.
  • Ease of use is great. When paired with high quality EIM that’s where the fun stops. The sound is mostly bright lows are not punchy and get lost in translation. Also issue with skipping after 10-15 minutes of use the tracks plays and stops then plays and stops using iPhone 12 Pro Max. Will continue to use my chord mojo . I had high hopes with this one :(
