- It\'s actually a fantastic piece of art that happens to look like a book that provides exquisite, soft yet powerful and long lasting light! You can open it slightly for partial light, lay it on a flat surface for half light, or open it fully, connecting the magnetic front and back cover to one another for maximum light. The magnetic spine removes and can be affixed to either cover for safe keeping.The Lumio light has two incorporated charging cords. One for USB charging of the book light itself and a second iOS charging cable to use as a phone charger. Simple! My only complaint is that it ONLY comes, as of this posting, with iOS charging for auxiliary items. Hopefully future models will have USB and USB-C capabilities without need for an adaptor which you can find from multiple sources on Amazon.Love this compact Lumio book light/charger and take it with me everywhere!
- So i bought my lumio via the official website. Since this is essentially the only place where customer review matters, I decide to bring my complaints here.First of all, the one I got simply doesn\'t work. When I tried to charge it, nothing. Tried multiple power sources and nothing worked, not even the power level indicator.On top of that, when I bring this to Customer support, they asked me to get a 3A adaptor. I did. Still doesn\'t work. They then told me that they will have to consult an internal team to \"get back to me when they can\", even though I specifically told them this is for V-Day and it\'s cutting close. Now 2 days have passed, nothing.Note that I purchased my first Lumio on 2014, and this is the 3rd time that I buy their product. I choose to trust them for the past 5-6 years, but now I don\'t. Not sure because of the poor product quality, but for the fact that they don\'t seem to care at all about their customer.Please, don\'t let the design fool you. This is just a $180 paperweight, along with useless excuses you\'ll get from the support team.
- I just purchased my Lito mini lamp from the Chicago museum of modern art & I’m having the same challenge as other buyers - I can’t get the book to charge. I’ve been trying for 2 weeks and I’m terribly disappointed. I’ll try to contact customer service & contact the museum store.
- If I had know this was so IMPOSSIBLE to charge, I would not have bought it! Save your money and buy a simple book light that uses batteries!
