TRANYA Open Ear Bluetooth Headphones, Wireless Earbuds with APTX Adaptive Sound 16MM Large Driver, CVC8.0 Noise Cancellation, IPX5 Waterproof Sports Earbuds with 32H Playtime for Workout
- I have been looking for YEARS for a good pair of headphones/earbuds that were just as comfortable and good as the Panasonic Ear Clips I\'ve been using. Because I do a lot of Video/Audio stuff on my computer, getting a pair with low latency was the most important, so that shrinks the list of candidates a lot and not all headphones that DO have low latency advertise it as such. I\'ve purchased in the past some Bluetooth headphones that had terrible delay (which have now been relegated to just for listening to music) so after that mistake I\'ve been more careful. The thing is so many other earbud/headphones could\'ve worked for me, if it weren\'t for the fact they were the IN-EAR canal type.Just recently I thought I found the perfect replacement, except it had it\'s own cons that I wasn\'t expecting, called the Avantree TWS116 Open Ear. I was already aware of the lack of Bass before ordering and didn\'t think much of it since my current headphones were already like that and sounded good.So my experience with that was: the sound quality was so low, it sounded like something from a child\'s toy speaker (the Bass was THAT non-existent). Also it had that Bluetooth fade-in where if the sound isn\'t getting any sound or it\'s very quiet that when it gets loud again the audio would fade-in against that louder part making it so you may miss 1-2 seconds of it. The only good thing it had was APT-X LL, while the most important to me, didn\'t help me keep it.Now onto these headphones, so far they have been far and away THE BEST. The latency is not noticeable and feels like I\'m watching and playing games with wired headphones. I\'ve tested them out against the Bluetooth Fade-In and I\'m not seeing it unless I pause a video for over 30 seconds and then it\'s more like 0.5 seconds with no fade-in. Sound quality is actually a small step UP from my Panasonic Earclips, which is a good thing (considering the price of these headphones). I do hear some Bass, in fact a bit more over the Panasonic Earclips. As for comfort, they\'re not quite as comfortable as the Earclips, but I can still wear the TRANYA X3 for hours without my ears getting sore, and I DO WEAR GLASSES.Just one last thing: I still wish there was something out there for bluetooth headphones that featured everything this has, but used something very close to what my Panasonic Ear-clips uses for speakers. Because while these are comfortable, they need to be placed on my ears perfectly for that.
- Two things to bear in mind ... and if you do you\'ll find these very impressive: (1) these are open ear headphones so they\'re going to be a bit differently immersive than in ear headphones, and (2) these do not cover the ear canal (unless you have small ears), so .... ditto.Yes, look at the picture of the model wearing these and note that the ear piece sits slightly above the ear canal. This is a feature - it allows enough ambient noise through to allow you to safely walk, run, ride or work in proximity to others without detecting them -- and you don\'t need to push a button to go \"transparent\". I have a jogging friend with such manually-induced transparency, so he has to push the headphone button every time he nears an intersection to make sure he\'s not blindsided by a car - not fun. But, with Tranya\'s reliable ability to both be tremendously clear and pound the bass without being boomy, you get the best of both worlds. The ear piece is close enough to the ear canal to make the sound clear as a bell, while the bass is just fine (almost like a bone conduction set of phones but a plenty of bass gets in through your ears as well). (And, yes, it takes a session or two to get used to the different sound if, like me, you\'ve been wearing nothing but in-ear buds for 25 years).Yes, if you\'re looking for a super-premium set of buds to wear sitting in an easy chair for 45 minutes, you may want to go with either an in-ear set (like Tranya\'s great T-10 buds which I\'ve had and loved for over two years). But if you want to exercise, or know when others are entering the room, or listen to music for a long-enough stretch that you don\'t want something plugged in your ears for hours on end, these are the ticket. And they stay on amazingly well while exercising if you follow the instructions and twist them backwards behind your ears as you put them on.My only complaint is that the button controls are a little touchy - if you\'re listening to on-line streaming and you adjust the left bud, there\'s a decent chance the music will pause, and it\'s not always easy to hit the right bud properly to resume playback. But that\'s a minor quibble and there\'s not much reason to being adjusting them once you get them on; they\'re that stable.
- The sound on these is remarkable, considering how far away from the eardrum they are. I have roughly 30 pairs of wireless headphones, and about $20,000 in-ear, TOTL headphones. These have enough base so that it is Heard, but it will not shake your bones. The clarity is where these shine. The maids come through clearly and the upper mids and lower highs have a crispness to them somehow. My daughter sits next to me in the front seat of my car, and I often hear the music playing through her AirPods. I had these playing, particularly loud with the car off when we were sitting still, and I asked her if she heard anything. She said she couldn’t hear anything! I thought that was pretty astounding. Now for the part, I am most picky about with Bluetooth Headphones, the microphone call quality. I did a couple of tests, one with lots of wind, and one with loud background noises. I was still able to make out my voice, although the wind was very apparent. Additionally, the background noise was very audible as well, but I have heard far far worse. I would say that the OLeap does a better job.The final thing about these is that they have no flex whatsoever. I think this was a fatal flaw, as whenever I try to press the buttons on the sensor, it causes my ears great pain. Because of that, these would be a pass for me.
