  • Solid \"B\" quality for Ultimate Ears, but for top bass response, the Megablast is better. Megaboom 3 has much better remote access, which Megablast is lacking, and I don\'t need Alexa at all, which unfortunately is on the Megablast. But overall, I use the Megablast much more often for a larger sound. Megaboom is perfectly adequate for a smaller room.

  • Coming from the megaboom 2, which was a very nice bluetooth speaker, probably still my favorite, this one sucks. There\'s no bass whatsoever that they speak of in their ads, etc., The megaboom 2 had a much more refined sound imo, it\'s not louder than the megaboom 2, quieter even, if comparing them, I don\'t want to get into frequency response curves, because this speaker doesn\'t deserve it, because they\'d probably be all over the place. The highs are a bit clearer, yes, but this thing starts clipping really badly, once you go over a certain threshold (nowhere near their maximum). Sure, you can go really loud, but then you might as well sing the song yourself while drunk, because that\'s going to sound better than whatever comes out of this at those volumes. It\'s not worth buying, if it isn\'t at a discount, and cheaper than 100-150 bucks. Get the megaboom 2, the old model, it sounds better, is probably cheaper, and more durable. I mean seriously, a Micro USB charging port in 2021? Are you kidding me?
  • This speaker is bad a$$.. Take it anywhere, fits nicely in the water bottle pocket on my hiking backpack. Sound quality is excellent. My wife loves it, on her second one, first one was so good someone stole it!

  • Not sure what happened here. I own UE Boom 2, UE Boom 3, and now and temporarily, a megaboom 3 which is a mega disappointment, and going back. Firstly the sound does not match the bulky size. The EU boom 2 and 3 have a brighter punch than the bulky Megaboom when in all three are paying simultaneously (party mode). granted the base on the Megaboom is \"slightly\" better than the others. the music sounds somewhat flat in comparison. bottom line, save your $50 and by the Boom 3 or just something else. I love the Boom 2 and 3 and for their size, they do a better J O B
