Everything seems to work great and the alarm clock arrived on time. Looked just like the picture. Only problem I had was that the description did not tell me what Iphones work with the model. I had to look that up on another website to make sure that my phone would work. Would order from them again.Edited to add:I still really like this alarm clock but I have had it freeze up on me numerous times especially when I use the snooze button and it has caused me to be late for work twice. I am not sure if this is something other people have had happen or if I just have a defective product but I just want to warn all of you to be on the lookout for this problem.
I probably was hoping to be more impressed, but that\'s my problem. It\'s a clock radio and does it\'s job. Sound is not special and think some of the reviews I read of this item are overreaching or the people don\'t expect much sound wise. I wanted better sound basically but will use this in the kitchen for npr and to charge ipod. won\'t be listening much to music on it, just doesn\'t sound that impressive, sounds like a clock radio. Price was good.
I got this on Amazon last week. It is what I expected. Price has dropped $15 since I bought it. I also own an iLuv. This is a good bedside unit. I dock my Iphone every night and keep my Ipod docked always since I listen to music when I go to bed. For Cost/Size I am pleased with the performance. It packs a pretty good sound and has good features- especially a dimmer to lower the display illumination at night. It has a subwoofer located in the back of the unit. It also has a Dynamic Bass Booster (DBB) which enhances the sound. I wouldn\'t say it is superior to the iLuv. It is comparable; certainly cheaper. I am satisfied with it. It is a good bedside companion.
Only plus to this unit is the two charging stations--now pretty obsolete. Unintuitive time, alarm, operations, in general. Has not kept the right time...ever
FINALLY! A clock without a backlight that lights up the entire room and is readable! I\'ve been looking for the right clock for years.It has the best am/fm reception of any clock we\'ve purchased in the past 10 years.My main complaint with other clocks is I can\'t read them. I am nearsighted and most clocks now have that backlit display. I can\'t read them at night without putting on my glasses. Also, they are always way too bright.The numbers are the perfect brightness and it has many adjustment options so you get just the right setting.Dec 2011Adding more comments one year later. This clock is exceptional! The sound quality is good while playing my ipod (for the record, I mostly listen to podcasts- not music). The radio reception is excellent. The only quasi-negative comment is the snooze button is the same button to dim the clock. But, that has not been a big deal. It was worth every penny. Please keep making this product.
Unlike some of the other Sanyo products we have purchased, this one is a disappointment.Simply not worth the investment-1. The time display is so dull you cannot see the time unless you are standing just inches away from the System.2. Strangely Sanyo included a bright blue line in the bottom just below the time display. This is actually a ray of bright blue light. In fact this light is so strong, this further diminishes the time display.3. After a few months, the system did not recognize iPods - the iPod side of the dock went bad.4. Quite complicated to operate the alarm that syncs with the iPod or the iPhone.If you cannot see the time on a clock, then what is the point?
I have previously had a docking station for my iPod but it had broken I had spent $50 on the previous one at Walmart. When I stumbled upon this docking station I love the fact that not only did it work for an iPhone but also for the iPod. I do not have nor have I ever owned an iPhone however it was something I was considering as a future purchase so I saw this as a nice investment. As stated I do not own an iPhone however I do love the fact that my iPod charge as quickly on this. The sound quality is amazing I found the price to be a little bit high but that\'s only comparing to Walmart prices. As far as value for the money and the fact that this is a Sanyo product I would definitely purchase this again. We have on this product for about 6 years now and still use it to this day it is almost like new still great product great Buy.
Within a month the LED lights that backlight the buttons and accent the faceplate blink incessantly. Customer relations is less than helpful. I am going to replace the unit via warranty once and hopefully the second unit lives up to the hype. Beyond that, programming the alarm is a little confusing, and can only be done with the remote.
