- I\'ve been an audiophile for 10years now. I\'ve travelled plenty to go to shows and even the occasional can jam in NYC.I love dynamic headphones. While I believe planars are superior, dynamic drivers do some things better.Didn\'t have too much of an issue with fitting. They\'re a little stiff and feel a little off compared to most audiophile headphones that have big plush pads but not too bad really. I did have to mod the pads by taking three cotton balls and stretching them out a little and making a tampon looking bit of dampening material which I shoved between the back of the ear side of the pad. This angled the drivers for a better soundstage and tamed the highs drastically. For music they\'re not as hyper detailed as an hd800 but they are detailed. You\'ll have to look for them though as they\'re not just thrown in your face.Bass is awesome. It was one noted at first with a dark and tight visceral impact but after burn in they were perfect. Mids get bleed out with complex music but awesome when only a few instruments are backing the vocals up. The highs are fast and visceral with a euphoric sparkle and texture in the upper range of instruments. I did send them back because I feel the drivers have tons of potential but for someone as picky as me, I\'d rather see them in a housing tailored more for ultimate sound rather than a closed back bluetooth model. I actually plan on buying an amiron home or 1990 now just as my electronic headphone. The bluetooth worked flawlessly and the functionality of the side cup to change songs is best I\'ve usedI mainly used them corded with a chord mojo though as the headphone did seem to scale up a bitAfter my refund got through first thing I did was order their xelento in ear. Hoping these will make the cut
- I own both these headphones and the Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro\'s. The 1770\'s build quality is incredible and is in much better condition than the Amiron Wireless even though I\'ve owned the 1770 for 2 years longer than the Amiron. After just 1 year the Amiron Wireless is fraying fabric around the head band, and ear muffs. Wires are already exposed. And this is after far less use than the 1770\'s. Overall the build quality of the Amiron Wireless is far inferior to other Beyerdynamic products. You are far better off finding something else from the company. I cannot recommend this product. Such a high price for such a cheap feeling product.
- These are my first beyerdynamic headphones and they\'re keepers despite the glaring flaw of their MIY app not functioning w/o first updating the headphone\'s firmware. However, their firmware updater is broken, at least the Windows 10 version. Yeah, you read that correctly.First the bad. The MIY and its ability to customize the headset is currently unavailable. The headset needs to be updated first, but the updater gets stuck in an error loop. Reached out to beyerdynamics and waiting a response. The built in mic sounds like a speakerphone mic. The touch controls are odd; different variations of 2 clicks or holding for 2 secs. Heard the bluetooth lag is extra special, but haven\'t tested to confirm; not going to. Basically don\'t use this headset for anything but as headphones. The noise suppression\'s pretty good. There\'s major road construction happen outside my window as I type this and I can\'t even tell.Comfort\'s incredible. Good and heavy, but they just melt onto my head. Mine\'s on the larger end of the spectrum and ditto with my ears, but the ear cups are huge and deep so not an issue. The sound, wow; mostly. Wired they\'re heaven. Bluetooth to your phone with Spotify on max quality + the equalizer also heaven. Wireless anything else, not bad but I love to crank up the treble and bass so a bit flat for my taste. Side by side with the wired I\'m amazed that I can\'t tell the difference. Well, maybe but barely and I\'ve got to really pay attention and I\'m not even sure if I can.Normally for equipment this expensive, I\'d rip them a new one for not having a fully functioning product. However, they stuck the landing on the comfort and sound and the battery life and noise cancellation is adequate out of the box. Will wait for them to [hopefully] iron out their app and driver issues.Bonus: they fit nicely with the Oculus Quest. Again, heavy but comfortable.
- Pros: 1- Sound is great from treble to bass, no deficiencies or overemphasis noted2- Very sturdily built3- Wireless bluetooth4- Charges quicklyCons: 1- If you have a \"large head\", then you will find it\'s a challenge to completely surround your ears, since it is an over-the-ear headphones. If you put it on your head at a 90 degree angle, you will probably find that your ears are not totally surrounded. You have to tilt the headphones forwards or backwards to surround your ears. I have never had this problem before with ANY headphones! I deducted one star for this defect, and it astounds me the engineers did not design this better2- A small annoyance is the fact that it is a tad tricky to turn them off completely. If you do not release the power button rapidly enough, they are restarted again. The second time usually does the trick. If both of those \"cons\" were remedied, the headphones would be perfect. On edit, September 10 2019: now the phones fit perfectly. Don\'t ask me why, but somehow they now do, despite my best efforts months ago.
- Had these for a few weeks with a lot of audio listening. They sound great, when plugged in. When on Bluetooth the audio quality sounds great too.Reason I am return is because simply the audio output on bt is not very loud. I don\'t listen at high levels usually. But they just don\'t got loud enough to hear more detail. The sound quality is nice and clear. Yes I am hooked on the sound tone. But for the price they don\'t get loud enough for me. Sometimes I want clear and loud, there is no loud though on bt.Add better amps for BT and I will consider getting another version.Overall great sound, but not enough oomph for the BT amps for what I want.I will be looking into a good set of Beyerdynamic for wired listening.
