Lexar PLAY 1TB microSDXC UHS-I-Card, Up To 150MB/s Read, Compatible-with Nintendo-Switch, Portable Gaming Devices, Smartphones and Tablets (LMSPLAY001T-BNNNU)
- I bought this card over the summer when I got my Steam Deck. I have a ton of games on this expansive card, mostly large AAA titles like Doom, Doom Eternal, Tomb Raider, GTA V, Halo MCC, Deep Rock Galactic, Skyrim, Elden Ring, Witcher 3, and more. 1TB of space is amazing for a card this small, and it\'s necessary for storing today\'s gigantic games if you want more than just a handful installed at once. I have the 512GB variant of the Steam Deck, and even with that internal storage it\'s nice to have a huge external card as well.Games seem to run fine off of this card as long as you aren\'t downloading games to it at the same time. Read speeds seem pretty good and I haven\'t had many issues with loading times or lag due to world loading. However, this card has pretty poor write speeds. I notice it speeding up and slowing down regularly when downloading large games. It also gets quite hot while downloading games. On my Internet connection I usually get around 25MBytes/sec download on Steam. On my PC, this is a constant flatline at 25 but on the Steam Deck downloading to this card, it goes up and down as this card write speed dips below 25, slowing the download. Unfortunately a lot of reviews show this to be the case with this card. When I bought this card, it was one of the cheapest 1TB cards out there. I\'ve also had quite a few failed cards from one of the other major brands, so I was trying to avoid getting one of their cards. I haven\'t had any failures with this card even after a lot of downloading and gaming on it after over 6 months.
- I had issues with this card about 6 months after I bought it. It was past the Amazon return date.I contacted their customer support and they refunded all my money through Paypal. So yes, the product failed, but that happens sometimes with these. SanDisk, Samsung, etc... Will have failures in batches. It\'s nice that this company stood by their warranty.
- Purchased this 1TB card on sale for ~$100, with the purpose of upgrading from the 128GB SD card I had in my Nintendo Switch. This one is a cheaper option than buying SanDisk\'s 1TB and it’s running fine so far!The transfer of data from the old card to the new one was very easy. Make sure your Switch is actually shutdown and not in standby, eject the sd card and insert it into your card reader, copy the Nintendo folder to your computer, eject the card, insert the new card, copy the folder onto it, eject that card, then put it into the Switch to check. You can skip the part where you save the folder to your computer if you have two card readers, just copy from one card to the other.Good luck!
- I go through a ton of MicroSD cards with my business. I picked up these Lexars as at the time they were considerably cheaper than the competing SanDisk. They work great, but I noticed one odd thing; the capacity is less. Not a ton, about a 25GB difference when formatted, but we had one use case where our 1TB image from the SanDisk would not fit on the Lexar because of this tiny difference in formatted capacity.Strange, generally meaningless in the long run. These are A2 cards vs A1 for SanDisk. You\'re getting at least a significant on-paper improvement if you\'re going to use the Lexar media in your Switch or Steam Deck which makes it worth the nearly insignificant loss in writable storage.
- When the package arrived the unit inside had been opened before and after inspecting it we noticed a crack across the front of the memory card. We contacted Amazon about it and started the return and exchange process. The new card arrived within 2 days. I followed the return instructions and had the easiest return ever. I showed the UPS worker the unit in the packaging then showed them the scan code and that was it.Easy - Peasy. The new memory card was installed in the Switch and my daughter is very happy with it.
- This is a great product, but does not work in OLED Switch. Works in my Android phone, and switch lite though. Not sure why, but I will be buying a SanDisk 1tb for my OLED Switch. It doesn\'t work even with 16.0 firmware on the OLED switch.Still if you have a switch lite, and have a OLED Switch, buy a different card for your OLED Switch. It works great with switch lite.
- Plugged it right into the side and it worked.
- I like having 1tb of space, BUT I had ALOT of trouble copying & pasting onto this w/ my Mac. It did good starting off, but later on I started to have issues. It took almost a wk to get 1tb of data on here, because of the issues. (I can\'t speak for windows though.) I even reformated & first aided this numerous times, but still had issues. I had to copy almost 1tb of data one by one or two by two alot of times. Alot files or numerous big files/ folders all at once caused the \"can\'t copy, because file is in use\" notification and it quit copying all together. But when I downloaded stuff on here from an extra android phone I have, no issues. But when I tried to copy stuff from my Mac for fasting & more convenient results, issues! Would I recommend still, yes I would for the price! But having issues w/ this card sucked! Hope it doesn\'t malfunction soon tho w/ the issues I had.
