- This is a great little system, easy to pair with anything and has good quality sound. The power level is not anywhere near as loud as some of these reviews have said, at least not to me. I have it in my bedroom adn cna turn it up as loud as it goes and it is not uncomfortable at all, and just doesn\'t sound loud and I\'m an older guy that doesn\'t like loud music. also as full blast it destorts the sound terribly, the speaker vibrates and just doesnt sound good at a high level. But at a mid to upper range, it has good sound. Overall for my purpose of just listening to music in my bedroom its perfect. Also there is no way it would work for an outdoor party or anything like that as adevertised. But to listen to music in one room it works well.
- I read a bunch of reviews on the JBL Xtreme 3 which convinced me to go with a re-furbished one. The price difference is significant and it has all the warrantees like a new one. It came packaged like it was brand new. No scratches or any sign of use. It works perfectly. I am well pleased with my purchase.
- Seems good so far, have had it for a few days now. Always a risk buying a used product, seems basically new to me, no scratches, ecs. So should be alright.Before this I had a JBL charge 4.The JBL Extreme 3 is basically just a bigger & better version of that. The extreme 3 actually has some bass power unlike the charge 4 and is a bit louder.The extreme 3 might be bigger than you expect, keep that in mind. You won\'t be able to carry it with one hand unless your Shaquille 0\' Neil. But it does have a carrying strap.

- Here is the truth. The Extreme 3 has 2x25watt woofers and 2x25watt tweeters. The Charge 5 has one 40watt woofer and one 10watt tweeter. So, do you want one speaker or two? Keeping 2 speakers charged and constantly dealing with pairing, I would take the Extreme 3. It sounds like stereo to me. Others have claimed it is stereo and I admit on some songs I hear the highs coming from the left and other songs I hear it coming from the right. So maybe it is stereo. Now going up against the sound of two Charge 5 speakers is unfair. That\'s 2 versus 1. The Charge 5 probably has better mid range but it cant compete with the volume and bass of the Extreme 3. What if this was a 2 versus 2 fight? I wonder how that would turn out...
- Everyone here mentions the phenomenal sound, which this has. But, I am going to talk about specifics. If you want to test it like myself, go to YouTube and look up LLOYD WEBBER PHANTOM OF THE OPERA SYMPHONIC SUITE. The orchestra comes through perfectly including the organ blasts to open it. As the suite switches to \"Think of me\", the strings and clarinet come through without distortion. Going into Angel Of Music, the cellos and flutes come through. Prima Donna you can hear the strings, flutes, and bells perfectly, and as it moves into Masquerade, you can hear each percussion and brass instrument including the Celeste. As it moves into the sad \"Wishing You Were Here Again\", the woodwinds and even the harp come through. In the famous song Phantom Of The Opera, again you can hear the clarity of the strings and even the marimba. In come the french horns, clear. I can\'t remember the name of the next song, but just the same. The next one is All I Ask Of You (aka Raul and Christine\'s engagement).Not only is that video recorded with the best equipment, the speaker does not distort a things! So, even Classical music fans will enjoy the music out of this speaker!
