Edifier USA e25 Luna Eclipse 2.0 Bluetooth (Black)
- I have owned these speakers now for over a year and I still love them just as much now as I did when new. I was looking for a quality set of speakers that had good sound, in a 2.0 design for my computer. While I could always use a 2.1 speaker setup, I preferred to not have a box placed near the computer desk due to my not having a place to hide it and the desk being out in the open. These speakers caught my attention due to the striking appearance and my hope was that the sound was just as good.Other reviews have left their impressions of the sound quality and I agree with many of them. My opinion with sound quality is that each person will have differences in opinion, and you really have to hear them first hand. It certainly is the gamble you take with buying them online. In my opinion, these speakers sound very good. As others have said, at very high volume, they do lack a bit, but that is the reality of many small speakers. I find that I never really play them at a high enough level where this is an issue. If you are different, then you might be well served to look at other options. Personally, I was a bit apprehensive about buying a speaker this size without it being part of a 2.1 setup. I was very happy with the amount of low end output these speakers delivered. As mentioned, my primary use for these were as computer speakers and using the Aux input, they work great for this. In addition to this, I also connect my iPhone via Bluetooth and stream music to them when not using my computer. I never have any issues connecting the phone to them, it just works! My biggest complaint (if you want to call it that) with these speakers is that if you have a device connected via Bluetooth, the only way to switch to the Aux in is to disconnect the Bluetooth connection between the device and the speakers. Its certainly not the end of the world, its really more of a minor annoyance. One other note, and this is really not a big deal in my eyes, but may be for others, the volume controls are a bit slow to affect the volume levels. I believe this is due to the type of controls. They work just fine, but if need to be able to decrease the volume quickly, you will need to do so from the source of your audio (in my case, my computer or phone). I find, I rarely adjust the volume on the speakers themselves, but just use the audio source for that sort of thing. You might find that the remote would be quicker, honestly I never really use the remote. In regards to durability, these sit on my desk all the time and rarely move, so I cannot speak to how well they would hold up if you chose to move them around frequently. In my case, they have been rock solid. I had one occasion where I found them to be powered off and it required that I remove and reapply power to get them working again. That was some time ago and I have not had an issue since. Overall, I could not be more pleased with my purchase. If I had a use case for them, I would easily purchase a second set without hesitation!
- These speakers have good imaging. If you find a good signal to push through these speakers, you will be able to hear the vocalist on the song sing dead center of both speakers. These are not midrange heavy speakers, but they have a nice even sound from the highs to the lows (so that is not a show stopper and that I am not saying that the midrange is lacking). I am not an audiophile, but I do own some audiophile speakers/equipment. These Edifier speakers are high quality speakers; they have a premium feel and look to them. The sound quality is excellent and notably well controlled. NOTE: If you plug these into your laptop headphone port and then rock them you will hear exactly what some reviews have spoken about - with okay bass and so on. However, if you plug them into that same headphone jack and program your computer to read them as medium sized speaker and dabble in the equalizer department, wow!! These speakers have excellent bass! Is it an 8\" in subwoofer sound, no? I don\'t think you will miss that subwoofer - and that is saying much. They have good impact and I am not talking about empty sounding bass like some bass radiators give. These speakers are an excellent purchase and a seriously bargain for the price. Yes, the price is a bit high, but I don\'t feel like Edifier skimped in sound quality in any way. So what the remote is cheap. I am a new customer and have no affiliation or received any type of promotion for this review. Oh, the Bluetooth works well; plugged in the sound quality is notably better.
- A couple points:- IMO the only viable way of using this speaker in apartments is via bluetooth, since anyone can connect to it while you are using it which is a bummer. - The bass of this speaker is a bit overkill for desktop PC setups (someone would love it though), but it makes this speaker a great choice for bedroom TV/projector setup (especially for laid-back gaming). Sound quality is on point, bluetooth connection means maximum flexibility: TV, normal projector and UST projector setups all work with this speaker without additional configuration!Have been using it for about 6 years now and it still sounds great.
- I have them on a set of bookshelves in my office and connect them via Bluetooth to my phone and play music while I work. Nice style. The sound quality is great for the modest price and small size.
- These actually take a while to break in to sound best, but after they do they sound great. They do not get as loud as the bigger speakers, but they are plenty loud for me, and they do not disthort at full volume. One slight issue is that when I leave the room with my phone they lose Bluetooth connectivity through two walls, whereas my other speakers don\'t. I actually sent back a smaller pair that cost twice as much, but we\'re not really better sounding speakers.
