Metrophones Studio Kans Isolation Recording Headphones
- In terms of noise isolation, these are about as good as it gets--I\'ve used these at the firing range, and they more than get the job done. If this was all they did, this would be a 5-star review. They hurt my ears after a little while, but I think that is unavoidable at this level of passive isolation. The worst thing about these is the lack of bass. They are very weak in that department. If you are just using these for sound isolation, or you\'re not picky about bass response, these may be for you if you can afford them. But if you want any bass, look elsewhere.
- I\'m not sure if it\'s just the one i got, but the bass is non-existent. Returning and will update review if the new one works well.
- Great product used for years in my teaching studio for drums. Great isolation and ear protection with quality sound. Don\'t hesitate to buy.
- I use these exclusively when I am playing drums. They are absolutely perfect for my needs. The sound is very accurate. I mix in these when I need to focus less on extreme low end. It is true that the bass is light in these kans, but I love that about them. Having too much bass in my phones does not help me in a live monitoring environment. Every piece of these is capable of being maintained and replaced which I think is pretty awesome. A professional product that I value highly in the appropriate application, although not my first choice for casual or recreational listening.
- I bought these to use while mowing. They are very well constructed and the adjustable ear pads expand out to fit my large head which is a 7 7/8 hat size. I had been using a cheap pair of Stanley work headphones but these fit better and the earpad cushions are a lot more comfortable. These do muffle the ambient sound but not so much that I can\'t hear the mower running. It is nice to have the volume control on the headphones. These are fairly heavy but they stay on well. Like a lot of other reviews the bass response of these speakers is very poor. The sound quality is about as good as my cheap Stanley ones.
- After recieving a pair of Studio-Kans as a gift, I immediatly started using them for everything, gaming, listening to music, and canceling out sound from my Drumset. They perform incredibly in sound reduction, making even the most obnoxious of sounds either inaudable or just about as close as you can get to it.The sound quality is also great, you start to hear little details from music or games that you have never heard before start to pop out. Great trebble clarity, and a thumping bass range. Noticeable stereo effects, too.Overall, these headphones are great for noisy environments, enabling you to hear any form of audio media without damaging your hearing.
