JVC Hybrid Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones, BT 5.0, 25 Hour Rechargeable Battery, Full Touch Control, Google Assistant Compatible, Automatic Power On, Two-Way Foldable Design - HAS100N (Black)
- Great sound quality
- These headphones are in a crowded, competitive market; full of products from many companies, making it difficult to stand out from the competition. Some of the things the JVC headphones get right like other headphones, they are very comfortable. one of the most comfortable pairs of headphones i\'ve worn. The earpads are full of cushioning, and the build makes the headphones easy to wear for long periods of time. The outter material of the earcups and underside of the headband does worry me though, I think these will wear out farely quickly and need to be replaced. The headphones do cancel out swaths of noise well, especially in the lower portions where the rumbling of engines, and wurring of HVAC systems are heard. other noises do make it past the ANC circuitry, but are still reduced, and further reduced when music is playing. The touchpad on the right side of the headphones is finicky and inconsistent. It works, but not all the time and changing volume might be the most difficult thing I ran in to while wearing these headphones. The sound of the headphones is also a mixed bag.For the most part, the mids of the headphones have a nice sound. Well defined compared to Headphones in this class, and engaging. Pretty consistent except at the oposite points where lower mids meet bass and upper mids meet treble. Treble is uneven throughout the treble range, good in some areas, and not as much in others.Bass is blobby and or bloated, depending on the song. No amount of eq I applied could smooth or even mask the sound characteristics I hear with these headphones.Despite the mixed bag, I am encouraged by what JVC has brought with this Headphone, and look forward to future product releases from them
- To be honest, I’ve never owned a pair of wireless, over-ear headphones before. Consequently, I don’t have any apples-to-apples comparisons to share with you. However, with that said, I really like these headphones. They’re sturdy, comfortable, the 40mm drivers provide for very good sound, and the battery life is surprisingly good. Now, in the big picture, sound-wise, I guess I’d consider these to be upper mid quality headphones. And while they’re somewhat expensive, I still think they\'re a decent value. It’s readily apparent that this is an above average quality pair of headphones. They’re sturdy and well made, and have a high-quality feel to them. This headset certainly isn’t what I would call lightweight, but it isn’t uncomfortably heavy either, and the foam-filled earpads make them plenty comfortable. In fact, they’re one of the most comfortable headphones I’ve owned. So, if you’re looking for wireless headphones in this price range, these are definitely worth considering. When connected to my PC, the highs, mids and lows these headphones produce all sound very good. These headphones are a bit bass-light though. But, with bass and/or EQ adjustments, you should be able to tune them to your liking. With a few adjustments, I\'m confident you\'ll be pleased with the sound they produce. The bottom line with these headphones is that they\'re comfortable, and they sound very good. However, you\'ll notice I didn\'t say they sound great. But that\'s only because I happen to know what truly great headphones sound like. These don\'t sound like, and are by no means truly great headphones. But, with that said, these headphones aren’t audiophile grade headphones, and they don\'t cost $600.00+. These are $300.00 wireless headphones, and for what you get for that price, I think they\'re a pretty decent buy.So, to sum up, this is a very good pair of wireless headphones that are reasonably priced. IF you\'re not foolishly expecting $300.00 wireless headphones to produce audiophile sound quality, then I am quite confident you will be pleased with them. I know I am. I use them frequently, and I haven\'t had any issues with them. I do think this is a very nice pair of headphones. I think the price to quality ratio is very good. Consequently, I am quite comfortable recommending these headphones. If you have any questions about these JVC headphones, please feel free to ask, and I\'ll do my very best to answer. I hope you found this review helpful.
- OK, so first things first: these headphones sound spectacular. This is the third pair from JVC that I\'ve tested in recent weeks, and I\'ve been really impressed with the sound quality. JVC just seem to have a direct line to my troublesome ears. I suffer from severe tinnitus and a little hearing loss, so I can be quite demanding when it comes to the finding the perfect balance between crisp, precise sound and a full, rich experience. Those two things don\'t always go together because music can lose its soul as it becomes crisper and clearer. In any case, JVC have found the perfect balance for me. I don\'t need to play around with any settings. Right out of the box these things sound amazing.It\'s not all great, though, because I find the touch controls fiddly and pointless. As a rule I don\'t read the instructions when testing things like this, because I want to know how intuitively features like touch controls have been designed. I just play around until I get the lay of the land, and after half an hour of tapping the right earcup I think this feature was a misstep. To adjust the volume you have to run your finger up and down the outside panel of the right earcup, but the adjustment is wildly imprecise. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn\'t. Sometimes I\'ll accidentally pause my music (achieved by a single tap). Skipping to the next or previous track doesn\'t appear to work at all for me, at least not while watching YouTube. The sound mode works just fine, though. I had to resort to the manual to learn how to change that, as it turns out there\'s a second touch sensitive panel on the side of the right earcup.None of this is necessary. Manual controls work just fine, and while touch controls may have some use on a small pair of earbuds they\'re simply not worthwhile on over ear headphones. This is a gimmick, and it doesn\'t work as well as the tried and tested method. If these headphones used manual controls this would be an easy 5 star rating. I love them. The janky touch controls, though, have cost it a star.
