Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Sport Earphones in Black with Dust/Waterproof Case & Earbuds, Best Fitting Ear Tips, Ear Wings, 32 Hours of Battery Life, and Wireless Charging Case
- I like how these fit. They have good sound and will stay in even during exercise.Works individually or as a pair but for some reason if you loose one you can\'t add another.Recharging a single will only get you to 50% charge.Case is bulky and weird. Cannot charge the case while it is closed
- I bought these earbuds because I knew that Klipsch sound is legendary. And was not disappointed one bit there. They were also a relative bargin at around $100. However, there are a few what I would call industrial/human factors issues.Sound 10/10 - I\'m not an expert here, but the bass is present without being overpowering. the silicone suction cup ends come with 6 or 7 sizes to fit every ear canal size. I use them for running so they do a nice job of blocking out some sounds, but still able to hear cars/bikes, etc coming up on me. They don\'t have ANC which I would have liked, but really I shouldn\'t be running without awareness of my environment. They also have a Transparency mode where they use the built in microphones to pump in what they hear, but to me, its awkward and unpleasant so I don\'t use that feature.Fit- 7/10 or 1/10 - In addition to the multitude of end sizes, they come with 3 sizes of ear wings. These are a bit harder than I would like - My Bose wired earbuds are much softer silicon and pop in without adjustment. For these there is a technique for putting them in where you are essentially tucking the wing into a fold in your ear - So you put the end in your ear canal, then rotate the top forward making sure the wing is secured in your ear. First few times, they fell out of my ear, but now after a few insertions, I have learned it. It is now easy and holds tight. The wings are removable so the right size can be used, however they aren\'t guided very well on the earbud base. As a result, if you don\'t put them on the earbud correctly, you just have the hard plastic speaker module pressing on your ear which is excruciatingly painful (hence 1/10 if its not adjusted right).Charging Case 3/10- The case is not small. As my daughters would say- these do not fit in girl pockets. Above the split line of the case is a mold with desiccant to dry out any sweat you have left, so that is a kind of cool feature. The good stops there. For everyone who had Airpods, you just charge them, you just drop them in and the shape and magnets put them in so they charge without you even thinking about it, and if you are like me, you can fiddle opening and closing the lid with no worries. These are 100% opposite of that ease of use. The way the mold of the bottom charging part is formed, it does not account for the multitude of slight variations of how the wings could be put on, so when you set the ear buds back in the case, you have to fiddle with them to ensure they are charging, then count on hinged part of the case to come down and push them down into place and latch closed- of course at this point you can\'t tell if they are still on and connected to your phone or charging because the lights are inside the closed case. Also, the USB C charging port is on the inside in the center, so the case has to be open when case charging. For me, my cord then tips the case over so it is impossible for my ear buds to charge at the same time because any small movement off perfectly up/down will cause them to fall away from the contacts. My recommendation to Klipsch- Control the wings to earbud base better and move the charging port to the outside of the box.
- Overall; I really like these and would buy them again. I got them for $99 and would REALLY struggle paying over $200 for any earbuds but these are far and away the best pair I\'ve ever had. This is the first pair of earbuds I\'ve had that really fit my ears. I\'ve resorted to the types that have over the ear hooks for years, Klipsch\'s claim that these will fit is true. It did take a while to get the right combination of tips and hooks, but they hold solidly and comfortably in my ears even during a run (with a lot of sweating going on).One thing I was worried about was that some earbuds\' fit leaves me with a \"thudding\" noise every time my foot hits the ground on a run. Not sure why that happens, but with these I haven\'t had that problem despite the solid, tight fit. Some people complained about the controls on the buds, but I like the simplicity of one button on each bud that gives basic control while working out. It\'s worked better than the 2 and 3 button systems I\'ve had on other earbuds. And it doesn\'t take a lot of pressure to make it work. The transparency mode isn\'t what I expected and seems kind of useless. I can hear traffic easily even without using it so I don\'t bother. The volume is great. I run on a sidewalk along a busy road with many people who seem to have modified their motorcycle or truck exhausts to be as loud as possible, and I can still hear the music over them. There is a quirk about the blue tooth connection though. The first few times I wore them they worked fantastic, the next time they kept cutting out and losing connection. There is a review that references that the first bud you take out of the case is the one that connects with your watch (or phone). I wear my watch on my left wrist. If I take out the right bud first that\'s the one that connects first and for some reason it creates that spotty connection. Since finding this out I\'ve always taken the left bud out first and it connects...no problems! That\'s odd since the connection will work at the advertised distance and the \"distance\" from right or left wrist for my watch to the bud is only a couple of feet; go figure.Charging is easy, but make sure they\'re seated in the case correctly. I was wary of this after reading some reviews that pointed out issues with this. I just verify they go from blue (connected) to red (charging) and then shut the case.
