Cons: Wearing headset pinches head after a while. Non-speaker side has no cushion. Some connectivity issues on other side of call.Pros: Voice comes through clear on headset wearer\'s side.
But uncomfortable for a woman to wear with the asymmetrical design--the \"earless\" side is difficult to place in my hair.
After using the Plantronics Tristar headset for a few years, it was starting to show sign of wear and tear so I decided to get this headset. It is sold here on Amazon as Apla-na, but also known as Encore Pro elsewhere. The headset is very lightweight and comfortable to wear. Sometimes I am on back-to-back calls for 3-4 hrs and don\'t notice the headset at all. The headset cancels background noise quite well and caller do not hear any background noise at their end. The mic boom turns in two axes, to ease adjusting it such that it conform to the contour of your face while keeping good distance from your mouth to avoid directly breathing into it.
I\'ve been a customer service manager for over 25 years and I have always purchased \"only\" Plantronics headsets. Others may be fine but I\'ve NEVER had an issue with Plantronics. I\'m not going to change just for the sake of change when I\'ve got a product that works perfectly. If you\'ve ever had a problem with a headset mfg, try switching to Plntronics, I don\'t think you\'ll ever be disappointed. And you don\'t have to worry about shopping around for best price, Amazon Marketlace has always had the best pricing.
This is a great headset. The clarity is impeccable. It is fairly easy to have on for most of the day and not have your head pressed in (which I have a problem with a lot of devices for that reason).Very directional too for noise reduction. I noticed once that if I had the microphone up at the top of my head instead of by my mouth no one could hear me (I had forgotten that I had placed it there).
Complete trash. Apparently designed to be used with a phone and no ability for use with a computer (key item missed in the description). However, for the $80\'s you pay it is incomplete and needs additional parts to be used for use with a telephone. Taken one step further for that purpose it is made of fragile and low grade plastic. I would wager its lifespan at less than a week if I took it to my office and used it there. Spend you $80 on a really long string and two cans and you will have just as good communications.
I\'m a 911 operator & police/fire dispatcher, and of course my employer opts to supply us with the cheapest headsets possible. I\'ve tried so many headsets on my own dime, and finally found this one... perfection!! It\'s amazingly comfortable, and the boom mic actually extends far enough with the right curvature for proper placement and a clear conversation. Well worth the money!!!
This headset and noise canceling microphone works well beyond expectations. The headset if very comfortable and has very good clarity. The microphone\'s noise cancelling properties are very impressive. This product is well worth the cost.
