  • I\'m using it with tmobile and the d6653 model doesnt get 4g on tmo\'s network. that being said, i do get H+ which is fast enough for me. the phone itself; it feels amazing in your hands however it is fragile due to metal sides and glass front/back, the fluidity of the phone in general is unmatched (i compared it to pretty much every phone and the only phone that is as consistently as smooth is the htc m8 ), the camera is amazing although u have to go into manual mode for truly amazing pictures (color is duller than other phones so sometimes it looks more natural while others it looks bland; you can easily fix this by editing the photos; overall, if u like detailed pics then this is it but if u want easy touch and shoot then this might not be it), the sound is good but i\'m no audiophile (if i wanted actually good sounds id use real speakers; the phone\'s sounds are loud and clear but i cant say if its better or worse than any other phone, they all sound the same essentially), the screen is great but colors could be more saturated ( resolution at this point is useless, 4k and 1080p looks pretty much the same unless u have too much time on your hands), and the best part is that it\'s waterproof and dust proof. sony has some extra features just like every other oem and sure theyre cool but to me, it\'s on par with the other features from other oem\'s except samsung and motorola which have the better and more useful features with motorola having the best features in my book. BATTERY IS AMAZING! you would have to turn the brightness all the way up and use data consistently or be in a deadzone to have your battery run out in one day; even then, you still get 5 hours of screen on time. i get 6 hours of screen on time over TWO DAYS! tldr; feels amazing to use and lasts long enough to have fun using it
  • The phone itself was spectacular. I prefer it over the newest iPhone by far. It ran well and did not experience any issues with games or apps. The camera also has many cool features such as AR and 4K video ( despite not having a 4K display ). Unfortunately, I tested the water capabilities by making sure all ports were secure and dipping it in a sink slowly while using the camera. After removing the phone from the sink it was in for about 15 seconds the screen started flashing on and off until the screen would not respond to touch and shut off. The phone itself is fine but the screen has no use because it will rarely respond to the power button (it might come on for a few seconds if you leave the phone alone for a few hours) and it will never respond to your touch.
  • Before buying this phone, I had an Xperia T (which still works, by the way). However I wanted to upgrade because I wanted a waterproof phone to take photographs underwater and be able to wash my phone at the end of the day when it might be dirty. The phone is great! The first things I noticed were the larger screen size and the better resolution. The resolution on my Xperia T was pretty good but going from HD to FHD is still a pretty big jump.I take a lot of pictures, and the camera on the Z3 is great. I like to use Manual mode to take 20MP pictures and the phone doesn\'t disappoint. However, if the phone is overheating the camera will shut off by itself. I\'ve only run into it a couple of times but it is annoying when it happens. The phone does warn you when it is overheating, though, which is nice.Speaking of photos, something I noticed with this phone is that it loads pictures from a micro-SD card into a computer very quickly compared to the Xperia T. Sometimes when I plugged my Xperia T into my computer the photos would load halfway and stop or the window would just become unresponsive, but the Z3 has so far always loaded all of the photos successfully on the first try, and fairly quickly too.One thing I didn\'t like is the fact that the stock backgrounds looks boring compared to previous Xperia backgrounds and it is animated, so it drains the battery more, but it is easy to change and the backgrounds that Sony provides look pretty nice. The battery lasts pretty long but it is a FHD phone so usually I still need to charge it at the end of each day. The power consumption when it is on standby is great, and when I need the alarm I will leave the phone on at night and it will only have lost a few percent of battery when I look at it in the morning. On the outside, the glass on the back makes the phone feel like the high-end phone that it is and I can\'t even tell that there is a screen protector on the back. This also means that the phone is prone to falling off smooth surfaces, so you should be careful with it if you don\'t have a case. I have normal-sized hands and I can still use the phone with one hand fairly easily. The flap that you need to open to charge the phone is annoying but it isn\'t a big deal. There is a notification which tells you to close the flap when you are done charging to keep the phone waterproof which is helpful, but you can disable it easily if you are annoyed by it.I really like that you can take screenshots and record your screen by just pressing the power button and choosing those options. I also like Sony\'s Lifelog app, which tells you things like how many steps you take a day, how much time you spend commuting, and how much time you spend on each app. It is an incentive for me to walk more. You can get better results if you get a Smartband which will measure your pulse and tell you how long you sleep for but I don\'t have one and just the app by itself is adequate.I really like this phone and hope to use it for many years to come. There aren\'t really any features on newer phones that I feel are noticeably lacking on the Z3. The camera is good and I think Sony makes the best-looking phones, and this phone is no exception. It is more than adequate for what I need.
  • The glass used to make the body is extremely weak and cracks under the slightest pressure. This phone came problematic from the start. The camera won\'t take a good picture or video with the flash enabled. I white hue shows up on the right side of the photo when held in landscape. Maybe it\'s just my device. The processor runs extremely hot which shuts down apps like the camera and causes the phone to lag.The audio from the stereo speakers sound uneven, like the top speaker is louder than the bottom. The sound they produce is average, somewhat soft, and mostly jus treble and mids.If the specs would make a good phone this would be great, but it\'s just too
