  • I had a pair of these and after 5 yrs they got broken. So I started my journey to get another set of headphones. I bought and returned many different types, bose (bluetooth), avantree, sennheiser 195($330.00) and a few others. Then I found out I could just get the headset for the sennheiser hdr175 and they work with the charging station that I already had so it turned out perfect. Imho they are the best on the market. I left reviews on a couple of the other items that I thought were complete junk. Sennheiser hdr 175 ya just can\'t go wrong.
  • I love them. Batteries have lasted 2 years so far. As in life, love fades. I replaced batteries as expected. What I didn’t expect is the thin film covering on the ear cups and head pad is really thin and shedding off. I would expect that part of the simple quality to be much better. Guess I’ll just buy 2 year throw aways instead of these. Very disappointing really
  • Best we ever had and worth the money.
  • The sound quality is outstanding...except for when it occasionally cuts out for a split second every 15 minutes or so. I researched \"sound cuts out\" and tried all of the remedies. I found it to be less likely to cut out when there is a clear line-of-sight between the transmitter and the headset(s). Since I bought an additional headset so that my wife and I could listen to a movie loudly late at night without disturbing the upstairs neighbors (we live in an apartment), we noticed that the sound cut out on both the headsets simultaneously, indicating that it is a transmitting problem (vs. receiving). Not sure what the fix it, but we decided to keep them; the sound is so awesome that the minor inconvenience of the cut-out is overshadowed by the rest.I would recommend this product, however I would really like to see the company fix the problem. In this age of WiFi, Bluetooth, and other methods of linking electronics, I think they can fix the problem.
  • Let\'s see...16hr battery life, a rechargeable station, and I swear they have some noise-cancelling technology despite what Sennheiser says. I can wear these all day long. They are comfortable, the controls are easy to reach and are notched so you can feel them, and they provide solid sound. I can\'t speak about the quality of the sound other than to say the bass is there, the treble is there, and I have zero complaints about sound.The headset has some nice padding on top to prevent headaches or strains on your head. The earcups are padded and cover the entire ear.I took off one star only because it is VERY easy to snap the plastic notches that hold the earcups in place when replacing batteries. However, there are three of those plastic notches so breaking one won\'t result in a loose earcup.These headphones are so good, I bought a second set just to have one set charging while I wear the other set.Also, Sennheiser says you can\'t mix and match these headsets and wireless receivers. The HDR175 only works with the RF175 and not other units. Be careful when you\'re shopping.
  • We purchased the base unit an the extra headset. Used a digital optical splitter on the the, sending one side to the headphones and the other side to our receiver. We can listen to all TV inputs thru the headphones and our sound system at the same time
  • The sound is great most of the time. External noises don\'t always get reduced as much as I would like.The ear phones are comfortable enough that I\'m wearing them to watch the complete NCIS series.
  • I\'ve owned for years. I bought this as a replacement for a broken headset, easy pairing. Sound is good, no real noise cancelling, I find it has a shorter range than previous Senhiser models. It is set up in Living Room at the end of an open concept house; if I go to the other end of the kitchen then signal fades
