Denon Home 150 Wireless Speaker | HEOS, Alexa Built-in, AirPlay 2, and Bluetooth | Compact Design | Black
- Why would this Denon 250 be so much simpler to use as bluetooth speakers with the Echo Show than Amazon\'s Echo studios? Wouldn\'t you think Amazon would make it very easy to use their own studios and woofer for the Echo Show? Nope. I read in these reviews that the Echo studios and sub woofer sounded better than these Denon 250s. Nope again. I had 2 of the 250s and returned them for the echo studios and sub woofer as per advice of reviewer. A nightmare to connect, complicated command to access and not near as good sound as the 250. I returned the echos and reordered 2 250s. Beautiful full sound through all frequencies. Recommended.
- Despite the many negative reviews, I decided to take the risk and try the Denon Home 150 based on Denon’s reputation for quality sound. Received promptly next day. Took 5min. to install and 5min. more to download updates. Installed seamlessly with App and all my devices. Sound is FANTASTIC from this single small speaker and adds great depth to my tv projector content despite minimal lag-time when adjusting volume/mute with my devices remote. HEOS App is more responsive with these controls.Time will tell if Denon lives up to it’s name; but so far, so good. I would recommend this product.
- I love these speakers, the sound fidelity is awesome. I have them hooked up as a stereo pair. As to my complaint, I\'ll admit I didn\'t do the research I should have. I just assumed these would easily hook up to a smart TV. I mean, this is Denon, this is 2023, and why would I buy speakers like this if I had to buy others for TV (again, my bad)? I saw in the questions here that a Denon rep actually states that they don\'t recommend these speakers for TV due to the latency. So then why not add HDMI inputs for sound? Oh well, I\'m keeping them. I have a Denon receiver in my basement and of course that can handle TV. So I dinged a star for that, but if you are buying these as just plain old speakers I think you\'ll be pleased.
- Good sound for the money. Looks nice on a shelf. Set up was pretty easy after it downloaded updates. My problem is with the HEOS app, which I use for Amazon Music. HEOS has much less info than the Amazon music app about the music I choose -- and finding the albums and songs is more difficult. It\'s nice that in addition to Wi-Fi, I can also stream to the speaker via Bluetooth. Unfortunately, for some reason I always need to reconnect the speaker via Bluetooth each time I stream with it. Not a problem with Wi-Fi.
- First, I don\'t think they\'re worth the $249 list price, but the price for new units often drops anywhere from $169 to $189 on Amazon which are the two prices I bought my 4 units for. Setup is easy, although each time I immediately had to run a firmware update which takes quite a long time and always failed the first time which was a little annoying. After that, they worked great and I really do think the sound quality for the size is very good. I love the multi-device sharing feature which is easy to do (and un-do). We often have 2 or 3 of our 4 speakers linked together so you have seamless music as you walk from one room to another. There is also the ability to link 2 units as a, \"stereo pair\", which I\'ve done but I\'m not sure if I like them better that way, or not paired. My only gripe is that is that some features are only accessible via the HEOS app and not through the specific music app you\'re using. For instance, I can launch music on the speakers directly from Spotify (w/o opening the HEOS app) and it plays in the combination of rooms I have previously combined, but if I try to stream music from my Apple Music app, it doesn\'t recognize the room combinations, unless I first open the HEOS app and launch it that way. Navigating through the HEOS app is also a bit unintuitive but eventually you figure out how to get to everything. Overall, we are very happy with the Home 150 Speakers
