Marshall Stanmore III Bluetooth Wireless Speaker
- I LOVE IT, I HAVE 2 of them , ||, |||
- I like, It is great
- I wish I could by a bigger speaker!!!!
- I have not owned previous editions of this speaker, but this one sounds really good and the size is just right.(good for a table top, or a shelf), love the amp-looking design. Bluetooth works great, thought i get random half a second pauses from time to time, not sure if it has anything to do with my mac or the speaker.
- The Stanmore III is a Bluetooth speaker with that awesome Marshall grill and logo that make a visual statement before you even turn it on.The power toggle is chunky, the volume bass and treble controls are buttery smooth.I was expecting a Marshall amp type of sound from the Stanmore, but it sounds more like a party speaker. That is, it emphasizes the bass, which is great for dance music, not so much for classic rock.I turned the bass down 2 notches and increased the treble to give the Stanmore a closer to natural sound. If you download the Marshall app you can further customize the speaker\'s sound settings.The Stanmore has Bluetooth 5.2, Aux and line input. It needs to be connected to an AC outlet with the included power cord.Bottom line: great looking tabletop stereo alternative to Bose and Klipsch, has the power but needs EQ for the classic Marshall amp sound.edit: I added a basic tube preamp to the Marshall\'s line input. It adds sizzle to the tweeters and expands the mids. Now my BOC sounds like it should, live at the Nassau Coliseum with the Marshall Plan!
- This bluetooth speaker hits on a few different levels for a lot of people, I think. There\'s the person that has owned a Marshall amp, or wishes they owned one... they\'re going to want this speaker for obvious reasons. Then there\'s the people that want a bluetooth speaker that produces a high quality sound that can fill a room and serve as a conversation piece while doing so. Then there\'s the person that is super into retro-looking modern stuff, and this fits that bill as well.I don\'t have high enough fidelity recording equipment to really provide any kind of demonstration, but I can say that this speaker can compete with almost any other bluetooth speaker you may have heard at this price point. The bass is decent, and the sound is very clear. It does begin to distort at max volume, but that is beyond \"filling a room\" at that point. The Marshall app is easy to use, and puts the equalizer controls at your fingertips, but that\'s really the bulk of it. The app is pretty basic. I could go for more wall-shaking bass, but it does pack a decent punch for a speaker this size.The style is what sold me immediately, I hate to admit. If I didn\'t already know that it was a bluetooth speaker, I would swear it was a practice amp. The knobs, the upholstery, the obvious logo in the center of the grill. It looks great on the shelf, and I do occasionally move it around the house when I am doing chores and what not. That being said, this is not a speaker that you\'re going to want to leave the confines of your house. I refuse to even take this into my garage. There is not on-board battery power, so if you do decide to move it around, pick a place within six feet of an outlet.Overall, this is a great amp... I mean bluetooth speaker. Super clean sound, excellent style, and easy to use. If you\'re in this price range, you will not be disappointed.
- done and dusted! Stick to a Stanmore II. This one just suddenly blew up (turned it on, voltage was fine, used in a basement, only indoors) and kaput.
