Sony Noise Cancelling Headphones WHCH710N: Wireless Bluetooth Over the Ear Headset with Mic for Phone-Call, Black
- Fantastic audio whether on mass transit or the gym. Sony creates a sound space that you can control. You can let in ambient noise, limited background noise or block it all out. The noise canceling works well without the \'hiss\' many others generate. While at the gym, I can easily tune out everyone else. I can enjoy my motivational music in comfort. The over-ear size and soft padding cover my big ears and glasses comfortably. They are designed to SEAL around your ears - don\'t rip them off too suddenly, you might feel a bit of discomfort.Sound quality is excellent. The mid, treble and bass are tuned for accuracy - no teeth rattling bass at the expense of muddled vocals & instruments. I listen to Jazz, Dubstep, Gospel rap, gospel trance and classical music. Each genre sounds accurate. The bass is solid but not overwhelming. Volume is loud. They are a genuine value at $150. That said, you won\'t mistake this for a $400 pair. The plastic is harder and rougher to touch. The connection drops more often than I expected. Usually they reconnect a second or two later.
- I use this product for TV and Movie watching late at night. To avoid distractions and to be courteous to roommates. The sound quality allows me to focus. Additionally music feels deeper. Amazing battery life. If I was to have one knock it would be comfort for long long periods of time. Again they have a great battery. Comfort only stops giving in for me after a few hours. I\'m comparing them to ear buds. Obviously ear buds are lighter then headphones 🎧 but buds I can fall asleep in. With headphones I\'ll be able to sleep but they don\'t put me to sleep. Still very comfy just not perfect. Not sure if perfect will the higher model version but these are quality.
- The noise cancelling, sound, and comfort are better than my Beats headset, which costs over twice as much. I really like the over the ear design. I use them mainly at work to drown out the noice created by my coworkers. I like the female voice that tells me when the device is on or off and when it is blue tooth connected. Plastic has chipped off on the section that expands the size to fit your head. Durability is also a problem with the Beats headset as well. The Beats headset was replaced by Apple under the extended warranty. Based on the failed noise cancelling shortly thereafter, the replacement appears to be a refurbished unit and not a new one. Durability improvement needed on both the Beats and the Sony units.
- Purchases for my grandchild. She uses them when she goes.to gym. The charge last a long time. Very sturdy well made and ear pads are very comfortable.
- I bought these Sony headphones 1 month ago during a Black Friday sale, to replace a set of Sony headphones (about 10 years old) that I used to use regularly but haven\'t been able to find recently in my house. These newer headphones charge readily, & seem to be working quite satisfactorily. They have good noise cancelation, & decent sound (maybe not as quality as an audiophile would want, but plenty good enough for my needs). My only gripe is that these headphones don\'t seem to be as sturdily built as my old ones were. The materials & switches feel more cheaply made. I hope that these headphones will stand up to the kind of usage that I will give them (which is generally not rough, but will be used mainly during air travel).
- Sound quality is amazing. Ability to drown out the noise of seven children on the regular also amazing.
- Pros and Cons -Pros:1. Semi-comfortable2. Look good3. Easy to control4. Sound blocking works, I wouldn\'t depend my life on it but was fairly impressed.5. Easy to connect to the first device (I\'ll explain more in the cons)Cons:1. I wish they were more comfortable, but also realize I work from home and wear them 7 ish hours a day. I also have a larger head and it seems as though my ears almost touch where the speakers are2. I have been having trouble connecting another device to the headphones, and the instructions are fairly unhelpful in that sense.3. Zoom is a pain with these headphones. Wireless- they work for maybe 5 minutes than the sound gets distorted. I have found that when I have a meeting I just use the AUX they provide, and haven\'t had problems there.Verdict:Would I buy them for anything over what I bought them at (around $60 during black Friday), probably not.Do I like them at that price point? Absolutely.
- The sound quality is really good in these, as well as really good noise canceling. Don\'t expect to block out EVERYTHING but people attempting to talk to you at 5 feet or less appears to be inaudible or people wearing these ignore me on purpose.
