  • It comes with the cables you see on top of the drive. That way you can use it with USB A and C plugs. I use just a USB C only because my laptop on the side is C. I have not had any trouble with the drive reading or writing DVD disks. Wanted Blu-ray capabilities on data disks which will always cost you more than a DVD drive. If you don’t need to read, or write Blu-ray’s spend less and get just a DVD external drive.
  • Very good DVD/Blu Ray recorder/player. I highly recommend. I have the 2022 MacBook Pro M2 Chip and yes this is compatible. I highly recommend.
  • The instructions are in print large enough to read (not like so many that have tiny letters that need a magnifying glass). It comes with two cables that, when hooked together, make a cable long enough you can set the player on your desk (I use it on a desktop). I plugged it into the Type C receptacle on the front, and there was plenty of power. As a caveat, I have only used it to install a program so far, so I cannot judge the writing capabilities. That said, I recommend this player.
