• Purchased for my mother, she loved it and had it set on her kitchen counter. After a few months of use it burnt-seemingly from the inside out since there is nothing behind where she keeps it. It is no longer usable. We can not figure a logical reason that this happened, and of course no response from Sony with help or a possible replacement. We loved this speaker, but hesitant to purchase it again in fear it will be another waste money. Use caution.
• The Pros:1. Easy to operate2. Portable3. Batteries not required; AC plug provided4. Remote easy to operate5. Works on all Mp3 Players. Just purchase a 3.5.mm stereo audio cable for the adaptor in the back of the speaker.The Cons:1.The audio sounds compressed so you don\'t get the full range of the voice and instruments; it sounds like you are listening to AM radio.2.It doesn\'t sound any better than the average thirty dollar radio, cd, or cassette player.3.Good for a small office, but not so good for home. The volume gets volume is loud enough to fill a house but it requires the house be free of other noises such as the dryer operating if you want to listen to it without straining your ears.Opinion:Not bad for the money. This is perfect for a very small office or cubicle at work. But, if you plan on using this at home, spend thirty more dollars and get the Logitech S715i instead. It has a much fuller sound and you won\'t regret the purchase.
• This speaker doc is EXACTLY what I wanted!! I knew I could trust it since it\'s a Sony, but it was beyond my expectations. I use this with my IPhone. The size is perfect--not too big or small. I love that it\'s lightweight and easy to unplug and move to the kitchen when I want to hear my music while cooking dinner and then move it back to the bedroom at night so it can charge and be my alarm clock in the morning. It is very sleek and attractive, all black, and I love the remote control, which allows me to skip songs or turn up the volume when I am blow drying my hair in the morning! I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. The sound quality is great in my opinion, but I\'m not a stereo snob so I don\'t know how it would compare to high end brands. The only surprise to me was that it was refurbished, which I must not have noticed in the product information when I ordered. However, it was done at the factory so everything was re-checked and re-packaged as new. This allowed the price to be extremely reasonable--outselling Walmart, which is where I intended to purchase it had I not seen it on Amazon. Buy this--you will not be disappointed.
• I had already bought one of these for my workout room. Loved it and after a few months was trying to find something similar for my kitchen, only with AM/FM radio. After searching around and testing two different players with a radio, discovered I have really poor reception in the kitchen and basically got static. So ruled out the AM/FM and just bought a second one of these. Figured I can just use my iHeartRadio for radio playing. (Will need to boost my wifi signal, but that\'s a different purchase. :)) Sound is excellent and great quality. We have a one-story ranch house and when I turn it up, sounds great all over.In the summer, I\'ve also taken it outside to use on the patio. We have an outlet right there behind our grill, so plug in my iPod Touch and jam away. :) Our friends can also hook up their ipods or iphones and we get a wide variety of music that way.Comes with a handy little remote. Its fairly small and was worried about losing it, so got some of the sticky Velcro strips and cut a small piece to put on each so now I can Velcro the remote to the back of the player when not in use.
• Bought this for my husband..just introduced him to Pandora on his Iphone. He can take this to the camp, fishing or just outside grilling. He plugs in his golden country oldie station and loves it! It has a very good sound. The handle makes it easy for him to grab and go. He is a man of simplicity, but wanted good sound + it has a remote..What man doesn\'t love a remote?? I find myself using it outside while on the patio & I envision taking this on our weekend trips to listen to @ night sitting by the lake instead of taking my bulking one I bought for the house! It is easy, good sound and in my mind..perfect. Good Buy. (And I searched and searched for the right one!) Sony made a good product.
• For the price, it is a good product. Sound quality is rich enough if you only want to fill one room with sound. It is not in the same league as the Bose or Harmon Kardon, nor should you expect it to be. We use it to take music to whatever room we are in. The other purpose that I purchased this unit for is to take camping as it has the option to run solely on battery power.
• The product works fine and as expected. The reason I didn\'t give it 5 stars is because I had to clean it up when it arrived. When it arrived, it had a sticky molasses type substance all over it. It took about 30 minutes to get it off. Even still there\'s still some stuck in the small corners that I can\'t get to.
• Bought this for my home office, and it\'s great thus far. The sound isn\'t super-great quality (a bit of static at higher volumes), but the bass has a good amount of oomf for the speaker size. Comes with a few docking adapters, though the instructions on how to remove them weren\'t immediately apparent (you have to insert a flat object into the horizontal slot and pop it out from there). Otherwise, totally happy with my purchase!
