Gemini GTR300 Portable BTTERY Powered BLU SPK

  • Great features and great sound
  • For a c-note this is about a third a comparably sized Marshall. It has guitar input and deep bassy sound for its size. Yes the Marshalls are better in every way, but this kills it price/performance. Anyway I gave away one as a gift, have one it the office and one at home. Overall it is very good speaker, while it is not audiophile or analytical it provides the a good sound profile for rock music and such. Only issue is the charging, it uses a propriety wall wart, really wish it was USB-C. Also first one they sent me didn\'t hold a charge, replacement one is fine though. Overall I have reviewed and own many bluetooth speakers for its price and use case this Gemini is a winner.
  • This is much much larger than I expected. Also it does not stay on, I have to turn it off then back on before each use.
  • Ok Gemini best review you’ll get here. GuitarPlugged in doesn’t sound quite the same as the music you play but that’s to be expected. I’ve never used the XLR but just the 1/4 in I’ve made probably over a grand with this amp in the year I’ve had it gigging solo on the street with a Dean acoustic. Also has the Bluetooth if I wanted to play with back tracks I could. Plays music really wellHowever so the trade offs all equal out to a great deal. I still use it, noProbs at all. The handle cameOff but oh well. I got a bag I carry it and myPedals to gig with so it’s noBig deal since it’s not tooBig or heavy. My go to for smallLiving room gigs or places with noPower. Will overpower traffic lol. Has reverb.
  • I’m not quite sure where I stand on this speaker. I ordered it purely as a Bluetooth speaker since I don’t play the guitar and wouldn’t know what to look for in an amp, but I was attracted to the classic styling of a Marshall amp. There’s no denying this thing looks great.Straight out of the box the first thing that jumps out at you is that this speaker is *heavy*. Compared to most other Bluetooth speakers it’s a real beast, and while it’s technically portable you’d really only want to carry it around if you’re using it as an amp. As a Bluetooth speaker to toss in the back of your car for a camping trip it’s hard to argue that this would be ideally suited to the job.The second thing you notice are the - get this - actual physical dials to control the bass and treble. I test all sorts of fancy pants speakers, and as I suffer from severe tinnitus and mild hearing loss I’m often frustrated by the fact that many modern speakers either lack any sort of sound manipulation - my $500 Sony speaker doesn’t trust me to play around with the sound profile at all - or limit that ability to an app, it’s refreshing to be able to adjust the bass and treble with simple dials. There’s also a volume and reverb dial that only affects the guitar input, but obviously I’ve no idea about those. Now here’s my only real issue with this speaker. Due to my tinnitus dialogue often sounds muddy to me, so I value clarity above all else. This speaker, though, leans more towards power than clarity. Yes, you can adjust the bass and treble with the twist of a dial, which is very welcome, but I’m looking for something that can sit beside my computer monitor and give me crystal clear dialogue while watching movies and maybe a little richness and depth when I’m listening to music, and I don’t really get what I’m looking for from this speaker. I don’t need power, so 60W output is overkill for my needs.I feel this would make a great party speaker. There’s more than enough oomph to fill a room and destroy your relationship with your neighbours, and if you need an amp that’s also great for just playing a little music it’s a no brainer. It’s not for me, but it will be perfect for others.
  • Wow!If you\'ve made it this far, congratulations, you just found one of the most awesome Bluetooth speakers I\'ve ever had the pleasure of using.I\'ve used many different bluetooth speakers and this one packs all the features you would typically want. 60 watts is loud enough to fill up an entire room. I usually have it close to maxed out, and the audio is perfect. This unit can also function as an amp for your guitar which is one of the reasons I wanted it. Works great for that usage.I wasn\'t expecting the audio to be as good as it actually is (I had hopes but have been let down before). I\'ve had a few 60 watt bluetooth speakers that support karaoke and the audio quality just isn\'t where you want, they get loud but they can\'t properly give you the sound you want. Not so with this. This is a very high quality speaker, the audio gets nice and loud, the subwoofer is on point, and you have your own tweeter built in as well so you can have full control over how the audio sounds and it sounds really great. The design is fantastic, it looks like a guitar amp (because it is!)Listening to music with guitars is very much a pleasure on this unit. It\'s hard to believe that this is also PORTABLE. Battery life on a full charge lasts as long as you would typically want to use the unit with loud full sound all the way through. If you sit this on different locations it will help change some of the sound, especially as far as the bass goes.I love the look of this speaker, this is the perfect speaker to have in the house. The strap is easy to carry the speaker by. It definitely has weight but that\'s not really an issue you will get it and sit it where you need and jam out all day either listening to your favorite music or jamming with your guitar. This unit is just so much fun to use. Put on Rage Against the Machines \"take the power back\" and prepare to be impressed. You can feel the bass lines from the guitar, every noise, its loud and clear, never unpowered, never sounds weak, never makes you wish if only it had this feature or that. This is nothing but solid loud amazing sound. Guitars come alive on this. You can also input audio via AUX which is great if you have equipment that doesn\'t have bluetooth you can easily route the audio to this speaker which plays perfectly on this device. The sound is nice and LARGE never weak or small like several portables will be. The description states 10 hours of battery life, and I would say that\'s pretty accurate even running at max volume. If you have to leave the room or turn the music off for a bit the bluetooth will disconnect after non use (not an issue) just tap the bluetooth button and you\'re back in the game in moments.Bottom line is this is an AWESOME speaker for your day to day use. The look isn\'t a gimmick, audio truly does come alive with this unit, it impresses and is such a joy to use. I can\'t believe this is as good as it is. If you found this and like the style and think it could be good for you trust me it\'s worth it. The only thing I could think that would make this better is being able to charge it up via USB-C vs the power cable that\'s included. All in all this is such a great unit, I couldn\'t be happier, it more than exceeded my expectations and I think if you get this you will be VERY surprised and happy with your purchase! Highly Recommended.Stay classy Gemini, I will definitely keep an eye out for whatever else you come out with. This is amazing. A+++(pro tip, if you have a samsung, you can use dual mode with bluetooth and use two of these together to really have a party!!! (AmpMe if you don\'t have a samsung))
