Plantronics Voyager Legend UC Bluetooth Headset - Retail Packaging - Black
- Excellent headset for work. I purchased this headset for work as it was a replacement for an earbud that had tore off and fell apart from a previous headset I have had for almost 4 years. This headset was easy to pair with my work laptop and the setup was a breeze right out of the box. The quality was excellent and the headset itself is very comfortable and the call quality is top notch for a Logitech headset. I have always loved the Plantronics brand as they make really excellent quality products and last a long time. It was an excellent purchase and I highly recommend to anyone who is willing to consider purchasing them.
- This has turned out to be an amazing headset! And a welcome relief from the Plantronics Explorer 395 I was using. It pairs beautifully and effortlessly with my HTC One M8, as it did also with the Samsung Galaxy 2 I had previously. The call quality is gorgeous! I\'ve had several people comment on it. The noise cancelling works amazingly well! I have eaten a meal while on a call, and the person on the other end said they couldn\'t hear any of the noises, even with the mic inches from my mouth! I\'ve used it while driving in my very old, very noisy (busted muffler) car, and received listener feedback that there was no effect on the call quality/listener being able to hear my conversation. I haven\'t been outside with it yet, so I can\'t speak to wind noise cancelling.Years ago I had the old Voyager Pro, so I already knew the comfort of this configuration - and wasn\'t disappointed! I forget I\'m wearing it most of the time. As some people have mentioned, it can take a bit of effort to get the earpiece to sit in the ear canal snugly, but once you maneuver it in place, it stays put with comfort.Once I learned the new placement for buttons vs my old headset, the Legend is very easy to use, and intuitive. I love the ease with which I can mute myself, and change the incoming audio volume quickly. And one thing that I anticipated was more of a gimmick than anything, I have discovered I appreciate more than I realized I would: the voice activated call answering feature. It can be a bit annoying to hear \"answer or ignore? answer or ignore?\" in your head as the phone \"rings\", but I *barely* have to say, \"answer\" and the call is answered amazingly quickly! Makes it very nice for answering a call while I\'m finishing up documenting a previous call. The Legend works wonderfully for Skype calls on my HP laptop (after some tweaking of audio settings both for the computer and for Skype). You have to fiddle around with the settings, to make sure you\'re using the headset mic and audio, but once you figure it out, it gives great sound. My boyfriend said when I switched from the laptop mic to the Legend on our Skype calls, it sounded like I was sitting in the room with him! :) I did have trouble trying to get the Legend paired to my wired desktop - sound was much poorer than with my Logitech webcam. I\'m not sure why the difference in quality, but my PC is older and I\'m still using XP, so these might contribute to poor audio quality when attempting to VOiP on the PC.I haven\'t used this headset much to listen to music or audio files, but the time I did, it worked fine - for a monaural device.I can get a good 4-5 hours straight talk time out of it on Skype calls before it tells me I\'m getting low, and completed a busy, non-stop phone calls 5 hr shift with 2 hrs charge still left on the phone; it\'s also a very quick recharge. I haven\'t tested the stand-by time since I either put it on the desk stand or in the case when not in use.The case works amazingly well (and quickly for recharging), and I love the space for the Blu tooth dongle/adapter. I\'m going to really appreciate this case when I do some air travel here soon. Since I bought this particular package, I\'m feeling overwhelmed with recharging possibilities: the weighted desk charger (which I\'ve really come to appreciate! soo easy to just grab and go), the case with charging station (and USB plugging capacity), the original little recharging piece (which I will probably never use), the USB/micro USB cable, and plug in unit. This means I have 3 different ways I can charge this headset, either wall plugged or USB plugge. A lot of bang for my buck with this one. :)Update 11/19/2017: After 3+ yrs now of continuous use (8+ hrs or more every day), this headset is just now beginning to not fully charge (5 hrs talk time vs 6 hrs), and starting to drop calls after about 5 hrs of use. I\'m getting ready to upgrade to the new Voyager 5200, but this package was an excellent investment and I will still get use out of it as a backup.
- Great battery life. When it’s low it full charges in less than an hour. The range on this device is amazing. Has Buttons to control volume mute the caller and end the call.
- The quality of the headset is great, you cannot ask more there. I love the dock in which i keep on my desk for a quick charge. The magnetic pull on the dock sets it right every time and nearly yanks it out of my hand. People say I sound good to them and the volume i get from other is well received by me.The noise cancelling is not the best but decent. Good wind and I can certainly tell. Voice commands do not ever get confused with my phone which is a blackberry z10. I did have a m50 headset and that did have quite a few problems with \"i do not understand\" when giving commands while driving. Syncing to my truck with the microsoft sync was super easy and ever an issue. Fitting to my ear was easy and it sets in just fine. I am not super picky on this so maybe others will not like the big body sitting behind the ear. I used it 5 or 6 times and do not even notice it on anymore. I do like the advanced features that allow me to voice command answering, ignore and so forth when your hands are busy. The one star comes with the battery. This thing will eat your battery. If you spend a lot of time on the phone with this headset, be prepared to charge it. It doesn\'t take long but I have never had a headset that eats a charge so fast. The cost has to be in there as I have never paid this much for one. I was however tired of the cheaper ones just not lasting or poor voice quality. This one is expensive but you get what you pay for.update 08/05/2015 - Been using this for a while but I have noticed a few things that will not break the 4th star, but I need to report. Over time, I am noticing a lot more static in the call quality. Static may not be the proper wording, but call quality certainly is. Sometimes it just sounds like the old days when connecting through a terrible analog switch at the phone company where the persons volume is not good or something. Drop the connection from the headset and go to speak, just fine. This doesn\'t always happen but enough that I am noticing the issue. The battery has not gotten any worse but I can tell you, no better either. I still like the options for charging, especially the stand. Super easy to dock and when I see it on my desk, it reminds me to pop a quick charge to keep it fresh.
