House of Marley Positive Vibration XL: Over-Ear Headphones with Microphone, Wireless Bluetooth Connectivity, and 24 Hours of Playtime (Copper)
- The House of Marley Positive Vibration XL are the best sounding headphones at the hundred dollar price point that I have ever used and I have owned and reviewed a lot of headphones from a wide variety of brands. The sound is crystal clear and balanced. Instruments have presence and life which is something that\'s usually missing in headphones at this price range.I\'m going to say again that the sound on these headphones is balanced because it\'s important to understand exactly what that means--there isn\'t an emphasis on bass here at the expense of the rest of the sound field like with Beats and Sony headphones. You get clear highs which are always muddled on headphones where bass is emphasized over balanced sound. These headphones are capable enough at reproducing bass so if you used EQ on your device to boost the bass I\'m guessing you could get the same bass-heavy sound that you would find on headphones that have already been tuned to be bass-heavy but I really don\'t like that sound so it wasn\'t something that I tested for myself. As with all House of Marley headphones (I also own a pair of their Exodus ANC phones), the build quality is first-rate and actually superior to $300 headphones from Sony and Bose that are made almost entirely out of plastic. The Positive Vibration XL has a metal body, metal ear cups, and uses very little plastic (although there is some). The overall construction feels solid and premium. These are also comfortable--although I would have preferred a bit more padding in the headband like on the Exodus ANC.I didn\'t really buy these to use with my smartphone--I wanted a separate dedicated pair of headphones to use for watching television at night and these are excellent for that, by the way. Many Bluetooth headphones including $300 flagships from Sony and Bose are terrible for watching movies on television because bass from sound effects and music overwhelms everything making dialogue and pretty much everything else on the soundtrack sound muddy and sometimes muffled. The balance on these provides clear, pleasing sound when watching movies including newer ones like Malignant and Suicide Squad which have loud soundtracks and a wide volume gap between dialogue, music, and sound effects. No headphones are going to give you a home theater surround sound quality experience but these are a very good choice if a pair of Bluetooth headphones for watching movies late at night. In any case, I did use these as my walking around headphones for several days and they were very good all around. Call quality was excellent, music sounded nice, and I was able to wear these all day without them becoming especially uncomfortable although I did take them off occasionally to give my ears a breather. These don\'t have ANC (which I never use on the Exodus anyway because it negatively affects sound quality) but the earcups provide pretty good passive noise reduction so outside noise shouldn\'t be a significant distraction or create the need to turn the volume up very high. The House of Marley Positive Vibration XL aren\'t the best headphones I own but they are the best pair of hundred-dollar headphones I own--and if you don\'t want to spend $200 or more on a pair of high-end headphones these are an excellent choice.
- Love the audio quality. I can’t tell much difference between turning the anc and leaving off because they cover your entire ear which muffles sounds either way. I love that they cover my whole ear so they never get uncomfortable. The sound is great and they last for days without a charge!
- I switched to over-ear headphones a while ago and these are great. I wanted something VERY viable so people would stop talking, or trying to talk, to me in public. These sadly don\'t stop the audacity of strangers in public, but they do drown them (and city traffic) out pretty well. I usually have music playing on the louder side, but listening to podcasts on lower volumes still blocks out a lot of noise. They\'re comfortable, pretty, and sit on my head and ears nicely. I wear them for at least two to four hours ago before my ears start to get a little rough feeling.idk man, if youre looking for a review to justify buying these just buy them. they\'re great.OH! they come with a wire too. in case you frget to charge them like i do.
- This is a great set of headphone, it seals out external sound, and the bass is great. As other reviewers mentioned, the sound is a little damp on low volume, if you crank it up it boosts out great sound, but also does the bass and overwhelms a bit the trebble. When doing hands free it switches the equalizer off, so you get a bit of a damped down sound, that has the bass missing.Although sound is good for calls, I\'ve been told that the microphone sounds like it\'s too far away, found that tweaking settings on it and removing auto volume adjustment helps a bit, but does not compare to a headset with a boom mic. I\'m taking one star out because of this, as on the manufactures\' site the audio tests uploaded make the microphone sound great, but not so much in reality.Battery life is great, goes easily for four days without needing a charge.
- Good that it uses recycled/more sustainable material - that\'s the reason I bought this item. Sound is nice, comfort is good - though can be uncomfortable after a few hours of use. They scratch very easily, so use with caution. Once battery life gets to 30%, it makes an annoying sound like every 30 seconds until it\'s charged past 30% and battery drains quick once it hits this point.
- I have so many problems connecting this wirelessly to my laptop, sometimes when it is connected and plays the sound it doesn’t come up as an audio source so it just plays out my laptop speakers. When I try to disconnect and reconnect by Bluetooth, it doesn’t connect. SOOOO ANNOYING!
- Lo que no me agrado es que no tiene un buen sonido grave.
