  • I used this with an A6000 camera with a 16-50mm lens. So far it works well with some limitations.1. You need to connect using bluetooth and WiFi. To do this, you need to run the synch-to-phone app in the camera. This will allow the G6Max to connect and control the camera functions.2. I observed that the video record button on the G6 Max does not work. You\'ll have to press the video record button on the camera. I hope they can find a way to do this but I guess this is a technical limitation of the camera.3. The Feiyu ON app works on my Samsung S7. All the features work except for the panoramic shot which stops mid-way the panoramic operation. It\'s probably a bug. I tried using an iPhone 6 and the panoramic function works. Time-lapse is a bit problematic, or perhaps I was doing it wrong.4. When I used the active tracking on the iPhone 6, I noticed that it won\'t track me or an object I marked. The rest of the functions work but not the active tracking. I tried using an iPhone 10 and it worked fine. It might be an OS orientation and compatibility issue.5. When I used the active tracking on the Samsung S7, it worked properly, but I found out that if you set the speed of the PAN and TILT to slow, it has a difficult time locking into the subject. The solution is to set the PAN and TILT speed to fast.6. The base mounting plate needs to be redesigned so that smartphones or any sized can be optimally balanced. An iPhone 6 could not be balanced if you use the existing smartphone holder. You\'ll have to position the phone holder so that the clamp is facing outword (away from you) so that it can be balanced. If the clamp is facing towards you, it will not be optimally balanced. it would still work but the tilt motor will be working a bit harder. I wish the mounting plate would allow me to move the phone holder a few more millimeters towards the front to optimally balance it. Since it could not be done because the adjustment slot limits me, what I did was I built a mount that would allow me to move the phone holder a few more millimeters forward to optimally balance the iPhone 6. It should work for other smaller sized phones, too.7. Battery life is around 7 hours (more or less) when fully charge though the charging takes some time.8. I also tried using a 50mm portrait lens and it was optimally balanced too.9. It would be nice if the battery is replaceable.10. Active tracking in iPhone 6\'s front facing camera is not supported.11. I can control the gimbal from the smartphone but I wont be normally doing this. Good to have especially when you mount the gimbal on a tripod.I wish I could take advantage of the Feiyu ON features when using a smartphone, but this is not the case. App needs improvement. The gimbal itself is great for my A6000. For me, for the price, it\'s a great gimbal for mirrorless cameras. Get a dedicated gimbal for smartphones if you plan to use smartphones more often in your video shots. It\'s cheaper and lighter to carry around.
  • It works well with small lenses but with big lenses it just fails to take the load.
  • The media could not be loaded.  Gimbals have advanced so much over the years. I can remember when the first mirrorless camera supports were bulky, heavy and didn\'t have great battery life. This is revolutionizing the gimbal market. It\'s so compact compared to even devices a couple years old. I use my Sony A6500 without any issues. The heavier payload support means I can put a prime lens on without worrying about it tipping over as much. I mean \"as much\" because balance is still key. I can\'t put a telephoto lens which is front heavy unless the tripod screwhole is somewhere right in the middle. At least I\'m not limited to the default pancake lens. I use a 30 and 50mm most often. I tested this with my smartphone and it works equally as well. I just wanted something versatile so I don\'t have to get a different gimbal just to use on a different device. Keep in mind that every time you switch devices, the balance needs to be recalibrated. All 3 axis need to be done which doesn\'t take too much time but can be a bit annoying. I would tend to just use one camera for the day depending on my upcoming shooting requirements and change to a different camera as a last resort. It\'s really not that bad, but I don\'t want to fiddle around with it when in the field. So far it works great. Videos are very stable. Even some up down movement with large steps and running don\'t present an issue. The battery life exceeded my expectations. The motors definitely seem strong (especially when I accidentally hold on to the camera while moving). I can feel it trying to adjust - which is probably not good for the gimbal. The controls are also straight forward and easy to use. The joints, connectors, fit and finish look really well made. Everything is sleek and smooth. No grit anywhere. No rough surfaces. Paint is consistent throughout. I\'m glad they put a lot of attention to detail in the manufacturing. The only criticism I have is the case. It\'s made out of a high quality styrofoam. I thought it was just disposable packaging until I had a closer look. The material is not what bothers me. It\'s how it\'s been blowmolded for the gimbal itself. It\'s tight fitting which means that it won\'t move around when you transport it however once you have the gimbal adjusted and balanced to the camera, you can\'t fit it back in the case. This means you have to reset it back to fit it in the case and rebalance the gimbal all over again before use. The measurements help if you write stuff down but it just seems cumbersome. All that\'s really needed is some additional slack and space for axis\' but the handle can be form fitting for good support. This is a small rant for an otherwise outstanding product. Honestly, I won\'t be carrying the gimbal in that bulky case anyway. It\'s small enough to fit in my jacket pocket or strapped to my backpack. The locks help it feel much more secure as it won\'t wobble around inside my bag when transporting. I actually don\'t know when I would ever use the case even if it could fit back in after balancing.
  • no funciona para la combinación de Sony a6400 + lente Sigma 16 mm tuve que remplazar el lente por un sigma 30 mm ya ahí si funciono bien
  • I watched many review before I finally settled on this gimbal. Many of the reviews talked about how this gimbal was able to hold up so much weight and how easy to use it was. I would have to agree with that, after it is balanced that. Balancing it was a pain! The Directions that came with the gimbal weren’t much help, but I found a video one YouTube from Feiyutech that did partially help. After balancing it, I powered it on, but it kept on vibrating. That is where I couldn’t find a solution in the directions or the video. After navigating the menus I decided to test changing the motor strength. That fixed the problem and made it work more smoothly. My main issue with this gimbal is that when I tilt/angle my camera down the lock for the quick plate scratches the horizontal bar. The scratch isn’t too noticeable, but I can hear it in my videos.Hello,I have been using this gimbal for a couple of months now and I think its safe to say that I really really like it. The battery life doesn’t last that long for me, I’d say two to three hours max if I use it nonstop. This also works well even when I use my 10-18mm lens with the adapter for my Canon m50. I have noticed sometimes that sometimes the axis knobs do come loose so I do have to rebalance my camera every time I go to use it so that is also a pain. But over all I do recommend it. I am still learning how to use all the features because I don’t really need it for my day to day videos. I haven’t been able to find a way to connect my phone to the handle for monitoring, but I haven’t noticed any balance issues with moving the LCD screen on my camera, so I keep with that for now.
