  • April 11 2020 This is the second time i have purchased this type of phone, probably not from the same vendor..but the phones were identical. And they both had the same identical flaw. They have a problem in how they are manufactured. The problem is that the one main button on the phone comes loose from the inner case causing it to get stuck. Thereby not letting you answer a call or not letting you hang up. When the phone works its great(see original review). When it happened to dad the first time i just ordered him a new one. But now its happened again with the second phone. As a temporary fix i opened the case and removed the silver button which wasn\'t attached anyway to reveal a smaller button underneath. The button i removed is really for looks only and it works fine now but there is an opening in the case now. I\'m going to try to reach out to the manufacturer. this phone was a god send but if i can find one that is built better.... that might be the way to go. I hope they change the button on the front.(original) I bought this for my elderly father who could no longer use his cell phone because he just couldn\'t hear. I can now call him and have a normal conversations without screaming into my phone so he could hear me. It\'s very easy to use( one main button) and very loud. he has no problem hearing anyone that calls. The battery charge last very long. Sometimes when he goes out he puts it in his pocket and accidentally moves the switch on the side of the phone which changes the setting, and doesn\'t let him make calls. Now he\'s gotten used to it and checks the button first if he ever has any difficulty connecting to a call. Well worth the money!
  • Bought this unit for my father who is 95 years old and is very hard of hearing. He loved it. It was difficult to talk to him over the phone despite him wearing a hearing aid. After buying this unit, I could \"TALK\" to him. Living a world apart \"talking\" to my father was a dream come true. After just 2 months the unit is not charging. I live in the USA and he lives in India. I could provide as much assistance as possible but, the unit does not retain charge. Trust me we know how to charge. Now again we are back to texting and emails. I feel sad.Guess what I am buying one more unit and will send it to him. If you ask me to get the damaged unit back, sorry I am not going to India soon. This is a great product. Little more advertising and improved quality will help many who are hard of hearing.
  • Overall the product has worked very well for me. I was able to link it to my phone via Bluetooth, but initially I was confused by the blinking lights when I would turn it on. I thought it meant it needed charging, but what it really meant was that it was searching for a phone to link to. Once I figured out how to link it, it would now blink for about 10 seconds until it linked with my phone. When my phone rings, the Amplifier also rings. I carry the Amplifier in my coat pocket and leave my phone in my shirt picket. To answer, I just push the silver button you see below the ear microphone. It amplifies so well that I don\'t have to use but the middle to low range of amplification. As some other people had noted, I had some problems charging my phone after a few weeks, but it turned out to be the charger. Once I replaced it, the phone charges well. There were two things that bothered me. First, when I plug in the charger, the male part of the charger only goes about 2/3\'s of the way into the phone. I was concerned that this might affect charging, but hasn\'t so far... The other thing was that once the batteries were in, the battery cover wouldn\'t close all the way. So far it hasn\'t fallen off, but it still bothers me with the lack of detail finishing on this item.I really like the size of the Amplifier. It is the size of a small phone and reaches from the eat to the edge of my mouth. It is tapered in the middle and so is easy to hold and easy to pick up when I get a call. It is also very light, so not a problem to carry in my pocket.
  • This product is pretty wonderful while it works. The volume is loud, it\'s easy to work with, it\'s a nice size for an elderly person to hold onto. However,,, it ceased to work shortly after the returns allowed date. The cell phone amplifier lasted less than 2 months. If the product were less expensive I would consider purchasing another one just in case I happened to receive a dud. However, I can\'t afford to spend another $81 in the hopes that it will last longer than a month and a half with light use. (3 or 4 phone calls a week)Again,,, wonderful while it worked. My mother was able to hear well and was enjoying the ability to visit on the phone. The issue at hand is that it won\'t charge. Once it stopped charging we tried multiple scenarios. Still won\'t charge. Many people gave great reviews and I can understand why they love it.---------Follow up on this phone. I attempted to find out if the seller would stand behind this product. The response was that I was past the allotted time for returns. The sales rep was nice, while he gave me the number of the company that produced this product. The producing company wanted me to mail it to them to pay them to fix the product. I explained the issue and that it falls under their warranty. He explained that the issue may not be the fault of the producing company but that of the purchaser. I then asked if they could call me to discuss the cost of repairs if they deemed it to be the consumers fault and he was reluctant to consider that concept. His approach, I either want it fixed or I don\'t. I explained that I don\'t want to pay for the phone again via a repair when I don\'t know how much money I would be getting in to. He explained their policies,,, which didn\'t include informing me of costs before repairing since they now had man hours into the project already. So,,, stale mate. I\'m not impressed. Who accepts service work without a cost break down?I won\'t be purchasing products from this producer again. All in all,,, a cheaply made product that is wonderful while it works but didn\'t last long enough to warrant the cost of the product.
