- My Samsung 23 Ultra fits extremely tightly, so no worries about it falling out. Bluetooth connection was a snap. The shutter button works perfectly as advertised. Switching between portrait and landscape is smooth and easy (hopefully it won\'t loosen with use/time)As much as I like the product, the provided documentation is terrible. No written manual, just short videos and still pictures. For example, the step for turning on wireless charging is a picture of the product showing 2 buttons. (Some of the videos won\'t play unless you copy/paste the url to another window) Plus, the printing on the product itself (button labels, etc.) is extremely low contrast compared to the body of the product, so very difficult to read...I\'ll probably have to find a white sharpy or something to write in my own labels. With better documentation, this would be a 5 star review.
- I do a lot of videos of places we visit and find it hard to use a good quality camera and carry all of the attachments necessary. But, with this unit, wow! It works great! And I don\'t have to carry a lot of things. I used it for a western parade and the unit was very comfortable. It attaches and pairs up with no problem to my iPhone! I highly recommend this product for people who like to capture events as they happen. Also, just one little flaw, I found that my small hand didn\'t quite fit into the holder, but I fixed it by adding an extra Velcro strap myself.
- I wasn’t sure why I would need this item until after I received the device and used it for a while. No joke- my dad has been using android since 2008 and we have been trying to get him to apple for years. He tried the Shiftcam with an IPhone 14 pro max and he immediately bought both because he loved the 2 together!!! He then went ahead and bought a Shiftcam for several family members since the device is such an incredible item to supplement photo and video on the phone. It really is incredible how much more secure the phone feels and how much more stable the pictures and videos feel with the Shiftcam. The power bank is great, it allows me to enjoy hours of picture taking with the Shiftcam without feeling like I need to worry my phone will be drained and die. Being able to use the Shiftcam as a stand is a nice feature, it’s great for FaceTime or other video apps like FaceTime live or Zoom. My community board is going to get one of these for the board meetings they want to livestream over facebook live so that nobody is holding the camera and the battery life of the phone isn’t drained during the meeting. If you are considering the Shiftcam but are not sure if you would use it or need it, pull the trigger and try it yourself; I love mine and am happy I bought one!
- Overall it is decent (not for the price). I was expecting it to have a zoom. However it does not. The Bluetooth connectivity connects w/ no issues. No delay when using the ShiftCam ProGrip for my iPhone 14 Pro Max. It also fits the OtterBox FRÄ’ Series Waterproof Case with MagSafe. So you don\'t have to remove your iPhone protective case when using. Just be weary of heavy movements, as it does not have a very secure hold on your iPhone. It tends to slide out (every now and again, make sure your phone is secured). It is a good piece of hardware. It has a camera like feel when using it. I have one little issue, I whish there was a zoom. If you want to zoom in on a subject, you will have to zoom how you would normally ( using two fingers on your phone screen to zoom in or out). Other than that it is very reactive (at least for me). I stress, no lag when using the ShiftCam ProGrip. However, it does go into like a sleep mode, if it is not used for a period of time. You will have to press down on the shutter button for a few seconds to wake, in order to take pictures (yes, you have to do this every time it is not in use). I would wait for the price to go down, or until they update w/ one that has a zoom. I would expect a bit more for the price. Too all the Android users. I do not know the functionality between the 2. Only iPhone. Oh ya, the grip strap gets very loose and can fall of, so watch out for that. You may have to buy a third party hand strap for the ShiftCam!Thanks for reading!
