Plantronics - CS540 Wireless DECT Headset (Poly) - Single Ear (Mono) Convertible (3 wearing styles) - Connects to Desk Phone - Noise Canceling Microphone
- Headset is good enough, but the promise of \"3 wearing styles\" is not true. They all came without the \"3rd wearing style\". Unfortunatelly the seller we bought from did not care and never replied to any of our 3 messages. Battery lasts all day, with a quick 1-hour charge around noon. I can\'t say if it has battery for a day of use without this one-hour charge. We are using it with Polycom phones, case you\'re wondering.
- I haven\'t had this for long, but so far so good. I had to look up the directions for the NEC hybrid phone I have at work to figure out how to set this up properly, turns out to use the \"headset mode\" you have to go into the menu and enable it, then program one of the soft keys on the phone to toggle it on when you need it. Not ideal, but it actually ends up working rather well. I speak to dozens of people a day on this thing and not a single complaint.
- Our system was older and we needed to replace it. Thus far, very high quality!
- Ordered to replace the same unit purchased several years ago. Nice to be able to get the same model. Unit replaced probably just need a battery but needed to insure success for the fix. End user has been happy with the performance of this model.
- Was easy to install, hassle free, no more cords!
- I have successfully used this headset for almost a year, until the (in ear) speaker started to fail. I reached out to Plantronics for support and was informed that this model is the European version and not meant for use in the US or supported should there be any issues. Just a note that it may only give you a year of use. It is a good headset if you don\'t have any issues.
- Overall a good headset with the exception of one item - sound volume control. The headset is suppose to have an increase / decrease volume control. So far I have had two units (sent the first one back after discussing with Poly and they declared there was an issue) and both have had no control on volume with the headset controls. So far I\'ve only been able to increase or decrease the volume via the base unit dial (which is on the underside of the base unit so not practical to use as some people talk loud and other soft). After experiencing it with two units, it seems like they either had a really bad manufacturing run or the volume control just doesn\'t work. Sound is clear, mute button works (would be nice to have an indicator on the headset when the mute is on since you are not always near the base unit). So far the distance from the base unit has been good. Sound is clear. Only complaint is the headset volume control does nothing, doesn\'t work.
- I was having trouble just having my company justify purchasing a nice wireless headset. So I ended up weighing my QOL at work and determined it was worth it.To try and save some money - and since I typically don\'t really have issues with refurbs, I went that route instead of new.The device has been fine. My only complaint, that I still need to get with the reseller about, is that it takes a few attempts to get the headset to seat on the charger to allow charging.I am eventually able to get every day, after about 2 or 3 minutes of trying.
